The cottage was adorable, right on a beautiful lake with walking trails nearby. It was perfect for a quick getaway from the city and we especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit right on the lake shore.
Charming place with everything needed. Location was perfect for a long weekend visit to UCON. The host was great and made sure everything was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
The house is beautiful and had everything we needed for the weekend. Since it was cooler and a bit rainy we only availed ourselves to the outside table for peaceful and quiet times. Our NYC family really enjoyed the quiet! We will be looking at this house in our future visits.
We stayed for 2 nights while my daughter was swimming at UCONN. Place was clean and warm and had everything we could need. Short drive to campus and beautiful views of the frozen lake!
Amazing place and view. Entire stay was great to share while in for family weekend. Very welcoming and hospitality. 10!

This house on the lake was absolutely perfect! The location, view, and charming appointments made this one of our very best vacations. The owner cares deeply about this home and for the comfort of those who visit -- this shows in its cleanliness and thoughtful furnishings. We hope to return soon to this lovely home!
We had a fantastic time over a long weekend at Trisha’s place on the lake. The house had everything we needed, and the location right on the lake was perfect for views and for kayaking and paddle boarding. Trisha is a great host with lots of communication and little touches in the house that make you feel welcome and at home. If we ever come to the area in the future, we will definitely stay here again.
In town for my daughters graduation with family. The location on the lake was wonderful! The listing pictures were quite accurate. The house was the most well equipped of any rental I have utilized to date! The kitchen had everything from spices to coffee pods to soy sauce to butter in the fridge. Well stocked toiletries as well. Our host was very thoughtful and easy to contact if needed. We enjoyed our stay!
Had a wonderful long weekend with spouse and dog. You can just hang out in the privacy of the deck for hours and relax. Kitchen and grill are great for cooking, but if you prefer a few good restaurants about 2 miles away. Host couldnt have been nicer and prompt to respond when i needed help finding things. Thanks so much for the great stay.
We had a wonderful weekend at our daughters graduation from U Conn & the house was perfect for our needs ,beautiful lakeside location ,clean & comfortable, the hot tub was a welcome bonus !! We really appreciated the lovely hospitality of the owner ,who left balloons & Prosecco out to greet us on our arrival !!
This cabin was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. It had amazing views of Eagleville Lake where you could watch ducks, egrets, and swans every morning.
It was such a comfortable play to stay for a week. The kitchen was very well stocked and spacious. The bed in the primary room was incredibly comfortable.
Finally, the host was kind and responsive.
We hope to stay at the cabin again in the future!
We had a wonderful time at the Lake house. It was right on the water and there were lots of floats, kayak and paddle boards. The hot tub wasn’t working but Trisha handled it well. And it’s all fixed now!! A little slice of heavan!!
Excellent lakefront property, We were greeted with beautiful views of the lake as well as a bottle of wine, welcome card and a crackers and cheese plate.
The kitchen has everything you could need and more. So many supplies, spices, etc.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was amazing.
We stayed here for college visit to UConn, which was so close.
We all had an excellent relaxing time and hope to retune again soon!!
I cannot say enough about this beautiful house. Felt welcomed and at home from the moment I arrived. Trisha left a bottle of wine and a cheese plate to snack on when I arrived which I enjoyed while enjoying the beautiful water view. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I very much enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the water. My only complaint is my visit was too short!!! Will definitely be returning.

Above and beyond
Before I arrived I contacted Trisha to see if she could stage some flowers and champagne to surprise my fiance for our anniversary. Not only did she do that but she got her a balloon and a box of chocolate also. Trisha went above and beyond in my opinion. The place was better then what we expected. The hot tub was a perfect temperature and everything was all around awesome.
Negatives:
1. Our stay didn’t start out on the perfect foot - it was musty on arrival (fine after airing out). Then Trisha called a few hours after check-in that repairmen would be coming to fix the hot tub. The heating component worked, but not the jets. The hot tub was one of the key reasons we chose this location, as was solitude - so having two men and then the host show up and run around the place was not ideal. The repairmen didn’t fix the jets and broke the heater. Trisha was extremely apologetic and kind and provided a partial refund.
2. No blinds or curtains, and a LOT of windows
3. Third bed is in a room without a door at all. To be fair, listing doesn’t list this as a bedroom, but I assumed it was an office with a door - it’s right off the front door and you can see out one of the front/side windows from the bed.
Positives:
1. The house is very well-appointed.
2. All 3 beds were very comfortable.
3. The bathrooms were nice and clean.
4. The seating - a loveseat and a chair - were comfortable.
5. The kitchen had SO much stuff to use (oils, spices, pots, pans, etc)
6. Really nice wood-burning stove, gas grill, and fire pit
7. The location of the house is really the biggest seller. The pond/lake is beautiful, and both the yard, the deck, and all the windows in the house allow you to see it a lot. There was a 2-person kayak and a SUP board, which were a really fun bonus. It’s just a very, very beautiful and special property.
This was our 2nd stay in this nice house. The location is perfect for us. The house was clean, and the kitchen was well-appointed with equipment, spices, etc. The pup loved his 'doggie TV' outside the windows.
Gorgeous lake views, amazing location, and perfectly appointed with everything we needed and more. We really appreciated the clear instructions and the use of kayaks.
We LOVE this property ! The host/owner is extremely available and thought of every last detail and amenity for our stay. The home is clean and well stocked with supplies. The landscape and property are beautiful. We wished to be snowed in, but the weather didnt cooperate, and we were still able to utilize the deck and outdoor grill. This was our 2nd visit in 4 months and cant wait to book next year ! Thank you !!!!
Peaceful and beautiful. It was amazing waking up to a perfect and secluded view of the lake. Private yet just a quick drive to shopping. There was a great variety of amenities. You could literally bring clothes, do a small grocery shop for food and have everything you need for a stay. I will definitely consider this house again for a relaxing time away!
Wow! What a great long weekend!!! The property was everything it says and more! Kitchen was stocked with everything I needed to cook our special meals, the house was clean, smelled great, comfy and cozy!! We watched the Swan and the Heron in the lake and enjoyed playing cards on the deck. The deck was also equipped with a gate, so our pup could stay outside with us safely!! We loved this property and can't wait to come back for a longer stay!!!
Now THIS is a host. Great communication, welcoming treats, even heat and lights set up for our arrival. But this lovely cottage was the winner; great setting right on the lake (complete with swan), windows all around, every amenity you could ask for. Homey touches with modern kitchen and baths. Only bad part was it was too cold to kayak. Fall colors made up for it. We will be back, especially with relatives in the neighborhood. 12/10!!!
