"Most wonderful VRBO experience you could have. The house is literally on the beach and you can't see or hear any neighbors!!! Clean and the rooms are big and bedrooms have AC! The caretaker is quite and nice and literally you will not see or hear him as he is far behind the house on the property. The whole place is very well maintained and landscaped. The host was so so responsive and accommodating to all requests and questions answering concerns about road conditions immediately! So helpful!!! Plenty of yard games and board games available so entertainment wasn't a problem. The beach feels private as you don't see anyone!!! We went at the end of August the patio furniture for lounging if so comfortable and in the shade. Lots of shade and sunshine. Restaurant Restaurante Mar yTierra is about 15min away Absolutely go to that it's top 3 dining experiences I've had in the world. Overall book this place if you are looking for quite solitude a responsive host and a beautiful comfortable house"

"We stayed at Casa del Mar to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful beach and wonderful pool area to the spacious bathrooms and incredibly comfortable beds, everything about the property made our stay feel special.The house was beautifully maintained, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together as a family. The daily cleaning service was another major highlight. Every day we came back to a spotless and neatly organized home with fresh, clean towels, which made the stay even more relaxing.A very special thank you to Zaidy, who was absolutely wonderful throughout our visit. She was attentive, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. She even helped us find a birthday cake for my mom and arranged for us to get fresh local shrimp and fish that we cooked during our stay. Those extra touches made my mom’s birthday celebration even more memorable.Between the beautiful setting, the pool, the beach, the comfort of the house, the outstanding cleanliness, and Gaby and Zaidy’s exceptional hospitality, our stay was truly five stars.We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to planning our next trip to Casa del Mar!"

"La Gobetta was pure paradise. The lawn backs right up to the beach, and most of the time we had the whole beach to ourselves. Whether you want to spend your time on the lawn in a beach chair or playing in the water, this is the place for you! A fun highlight was seeing the sea turtle tracks on the beach each morning that left evidence of mamas laying their eggs under the moonlit sky the night before. The living spaces were perfect, and the amenities were just what we needed. Carlos was very responsive and easy to work with, and Jose took great care of us while we were there. Everything was very clean. We will absolutely return to this beautiful place!"

"Our family of five stayed for two nights in April. The views were fantastic and we loved the secluded location on the mountain. As you can expect in the forest, there was a lot of biodiversity--outside and in. The area is even more off the beaten path than expected--which is beautifully calm and peaceful. The whole place felt very authentic."

"The property was really great, right on the beach. The house is very well designed with a large open living area with a whole wall of sliding doors that open to the pool area. We had very few bugs during our stay and felt comfortable with the doors open all day. Getting to the house could be a challenge but if you have a high clearance vehicle it was no problem, the final 30km or so were on a dirt road that was rough at times, but no issues if you take it slow. The town of Playa San Miguel is very undeveloped, there are a couple of restaurants and a small market. If you are coming from Liberia , I would recommend stopping at the grocery stores in Nicoya on your way to the houseI would highly recommend taking a surf lesson with Eddy at Surf School San Miguel, he was super friendly and really made our whole trip more enjoyable. "
