We love this place!

We had an amazing time! It was close enough to the National Park areas and the town. We were able to have a great time at the house but close enough to go do things outside the house too!

Our family stayed at this beautiful home and enjoyed each other. The central living room and the covered back porch was a perfect place for us. We also got to enjoy the whitewater rafting in the area. ❤️

The house was very cozy and clean. So sweet that Peggy had it all decorated with an Autumn theme. I felt like a loving relative had everything planned for us to have a relaxing retreat. We would be happy to stay here again.

Great place

Great location. Had everything you need for cooking cleaning. Beds are comfortable enough. Really appreciated the small things like driving 9 hours to get there and being able to have a cup of coffee when you arrive without having to go to grocery store as soon as you get in town.Overall is was a wonderful place with a convenient location.

Peggy is Wonderful

The best thing about this property is the host . She and her family are so accommodating. We really enjoyed the covered back deck and spent most of our time out there. The house is older but clean and comfortable! The rooms are decorated so cute to the season. We probably won’t be ever be back to the area but if we were we would stay at Peggy’s Place .

This was such an awesome place to stay. The owners were polite, prompt, and went above and beyond in their customer service. The property is. I’ve and has an amazing view. It’s close to the state park but far enough away you don’t have much traffic at all.

Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay at this home. The kids loved feeding the fish and picking the blackberries. The home is super convenient to nearby attractions. We rode 4wheelers on the trails at Burning Rock! Highly recommend this home. The host is very friendly and quick to reply!

The house was in a neighborhood which was unexpected. It was clean and well stocked. The neighbors' dogs barked most of the night, which was bothersome. The owner was receptive and friendly when we reached out due to hot tub confusion. The location was convenient to many sites.

Family Reunion

It was homey and comfortable. Everything that we could possibly need was included as well as little extras to make our stay more comfortable including a nice welcome gift. Our hostess, Peggy was readily available to answer any questions or assist us in any way that she could. The deck and hot tub were a bonus.

Nice property, area surrounding it is a little run down, but we found it pretty quiet. Lots of towels for hot tub dips relaxing living room that allowed us to visit with other family living in the area and relax. One issue we found was limited outlets in the bedrooms and no outlet in the bathroom or close to a mirror to allow for drying hair. Enjoyed

A whole family trip for a wedding

I arrived in Charlotte NC and drove in through a winter storm. Peggy took my call and helped me navigate the trip so well and described everything I needed to do to get there safely. She attended to every need we had and even had decorated a tree for Valentines Day. Even though we were not able to enjoy the wonderful things outside on the beautiful porch, we had plenty of room to accommodate our family members and to be able to sit together

Family-friendly home

With my cousin and our spouses, I enjoyed most of our time chatting on the back porch of this friendly home. The view from the porch is nice. We also appreciated the welcome gifts left by Peggy, and the home's equipment and many amenities. The home is easy to find and access. There's a country feel from the front pond's frogs and neighborhood dogs sounds.

Great stay.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the hot tub but we’ll catch that next time. The house was conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do. We met up with family and had enough room for everyone and had a nice big table for games. I can’t say enough about the host. Communication was excellent from the time of booking until and after we left. Host is very kind and friendly and I would definitely recommend the property.

Sister get together

We met half way from where we each live, one in Ohio and one in North Carolina. We’d done this many times over the years but decided to stay in a house versus a hotel this time. Peggy is AMAZING! Great communication, checking in and making sure we were ok. Super simple check in. House is so clean which is a huge statement for me and my sister! It was easy to get around to the attractions from a central location. Enjoyed the back covered porch for early coffee and evening drinks.

Mother Daughter Weekend

Just a short stay to attend the Healing Appalachia Festival in Lewisburg. Hotel rooms were going for over $300 per night. Found this gem for less than a hotel room for 2 nights. Very easy check in experience. Owner even left the porch and livingroom lights on for us since we didn't arrive until very late. She even let us check out late since we arrived so late, which was much needed since we didn't get back from the festival until 1:30am. Was nice not having to get up early and drive 4 hours home. We didn't utilize much at the house except for the bedrooms, bathrooms and livingroom. Was disappointed we didn't have time to soak in the hot tub. The owners were excellent to work with and so appreciated all their extras and kindness. Would definitely utilize again and recommend!!
