    Tinkersfield's Field Hut is your dream mountain hideaway. Nestled in a breathtaking mountain field, snuggle in front of the fire and watch the passing parade of wildlife outside. You are minutes from the resorts & Jindabyne but in a secluded oasis. Enjoy all the modern luxuries, combined with the unique character of the high country.

    Entire space is included in this rental. Please, make yourself at home. .You will be cocooned in your hideaway, far from the crazy world. We can deliver groceries or prepared food to your door. We have a chef on our team. The Tinkersfield Field Studio will restore you after a crazy couple of years. You will never want to leave.

    We have set up great internet for you so you will be able to work from here.
    We welcome pets on request. The Field Hut is ideal for one small to medium dog. We offer a Doggy daycare service, while you are out and about your doggo will be having a great time as well.

    We are a full service hotelier and as such, we invite guests to contact us should they need anything or have questions during their stay with us. We aim to make your holiday worry free with maximum comfort.

    Tinkersfield's Field Huts are located in the heart of the Snowy Mountains.
    Only 15 minutes to Thredbo and 10 minutes to Jindabyne. Perisher Ski Tube is only 5 minutes away. Offering you the best of the Snowy Mountains right on your doorstep.

Great short stay in the mountains

We loved our stay in field hut 1. The accomodation was incredible and well set up. We loved that we could bring our small dog and the owners had a pet sitting service for when we wanted to head into the national park for the day. Highly recommend staying here, and looking forward to our next visit

Beautiful space for a week away

Tinkersfield is absolutley stunning. Despite the weather being torrential rain, it was magical sitting by the fire and enjoying the property as Kanagroos and Deer roamed the fields. We loved every minute and can't wait to book to come back.

Perfection!

Highly recommend! We travel a lot and prefer luxury stays, and this was the best place we have stayed at! The decor, the thoughtful layouts, everything was so easy to find, management were so great at communication. Great for dogs. It is so clean and comfortable! I’m allergic to a lot of scents, and also vegan, and they went above and beyond for us. All the products beautiful. The facilities are all high quality.

Wonderful Tinkersfield

We had the most wonderful stay in Field House 3. We could not fault this place! Everything was done perfectly: the position, looking out to bush land is stunning and to be able to see the abundance of wildlife from our lounge room made it extra special! The complimentary inclusions on our arrival like the sourdough loaf, cookies, granola, fresh strawberries made it warm and welcoming. Will and have recommended Tinkersfield! Thank you!

A Great Stay at Tinkersfield

The property is exactly what you’d imagine an Alpine stay to be. The field hut was a marvel, we must of spent the first half an hour checking out how well appointed the field hut was. Warm tones, copper fittings, lovely rugs, generous lounge room with a great view. We walked in to a warm, gently lit house after driving 5 hours and arriving at night. It was bang on for the weary traveller! Sonja and Warren were very accommodating. They even prepared a sleeping cot and high chair for our little one, which was a brilliant surprise. A home cooked lamb shoulder and smoked trout on the last night was just fantastic. Could not recommend highly enough.

Our new favourite destination

We had an outstanding stay at Tinkersfield and can't wait to return. Usually the photos of a listing are better than real life however the opposite is true for this accommodation. The location is remote and quiet yet very easy to get to, and checking and directions were spot on. The design and layout is stunning and straight out of a style magazine (literally!) - we loved every part of it. Large bedroom and bathroom with a great dining and living space. The wood fire was lovely for the cold nights and we didn't feel the cold one bit. The place was spotlessly clean and all the modern amenities you could want. Sonja was an exceptional host and we couldn't have felt more welcome. Thankyou!

Private Magical Stay

Felt right at home from the moment we arrived. With treats, bread and milk supplied. Room was nice and spacious. Great attention to detail. More amenities than a hotel room. We were blown away. Double glazed windows, fire place and location of our cabin was very private even though our neighbours were right next door. Positioning of all the ceiling to floor windows was well thought out. we saw lots of wildlife during our stay. Sonja couldn't do enough for us. She even looked after our dogs while we spent a morning at the snow fields. Staff are friendly and up for a chat. When it was snowfall the place was just MAGIC and surreal. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Our stay at Crackenback really made our time so enjoyable and memorable. We are still talking about it almost 3 weeks later.

The accommodation (Field Huts 3) was beyond all our expectations - arrival heralded by crackling pot belly stove. The scenery was breathtaking and Warren's meals delivered to the door were culinary perfection. The fact we could share this experience with our fur babies made the whole week spectacular!!!!
