"We loved our stay! The villa is located about 15 minutes drive outside Lyon city center which was absolutely perfect as we were able to enjoy clean air and nature in a hilly countryside while still being close to everything Lyon has to offer. Would definitely stay here again and recommend without reservation! We also came during the summer heat wave and were happy to stay at Villa Castel which is on the hill and a few degrees cooler than the city, especially at night!!"

"Originally only booked for 1 month as we were relocating to France, however due to the Covid-19 outbreak ended up staying for 3 months, and could not have been in a better place. The accommodation, area and neighbours were great would highly recommend this as a place to stay and not to far from Lyon center."

"During the heat of our 4 weeks in France, it was very pleasant to take a 8km twisting road into the cool uplands and enjoy the garden and surrounding farms of this house. Our group, fit walkers al over 70, did find it difficult to easily get into the back garden over the craggy steps without a railing. Since we had all all our meals there and spent so much time there, we often were concerned one of us would fall or break a leg.. this is a danger to anyone and should be corrected. "This was a great place to spend a family Christmas, complete with Xmas tree. The property is very clean and well-equipped, with plenty of space to spread out. It is close to two supermarkets as well as other shops and the metro into the centre. It was easy to access from the airport using the tram / metro. Getting into the centre of Lyon was also quick. The owner was helpful and gave us plenty of information. Definitely recommend for large groups."

"Our group of 12 had a perfectly comfortable 2-night stay at this very spacious and well located home. We were six teens and six adults – the house easily accommodated us, including each of the teens having a separate bedroom and the bathroom layout working well. "Myself, my husband, three kids plus dog had the absolute pleasure of staying in Sarah and Claude's beautiful French home for ten days in June/July. Communication prior to the holiday and on arrival day was great. Sarah even pre arranged for our dog to visit a local vet for a Tape Worm jab she needed to travel back to the UK.
