"The air conditioning in the room was good, but quite noisy. We had to turn the fan on constantly so that the intermittent on and off didn’t wake us up. Otherwise, the room was clean with a microwave and fridge, which was very useful. We did ask for different pillows and an extra blanket which the staff accommodated very promptly. A+ on the service."

"We generally enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff made up the room wonderfully every day. The restaurant served very good food but often closed early and the bar only stayed open until 10 pm even on Friday and Saturday night. There were some issues that were bothersome. Women’s bathroom in lobby was out of order the whole 10 days we were there. Television in room kept going in and out because they use satellite service. The second day it rained and there was visible leaking from ceilings in lobby, entrance to Bistro and in corridor from guest rooms on first floor, with buckets to catch water. We were in room 215 and the first or second night there was someone in the room next door playing music very loudly until well after midnight. Inside appearance was somewhat run down. Peeling wallpaper visible in lobby. There were no darts for the dart board in the bar area. There was no breakfast service at the Bistro on Sat 8/8."

"Was happy that they came in and cleaned the room every day and changed the sheets. Receptionist was really friendly and explained all the policies. My mom appreciated the coffee and pastries in the morning. Will be back next year for our annual convention. Location was excellent only three minutes from where we needed to be."

"What an incredible experience....all around. The castle itself is beautiful. The grounds are meticulously manicured. The paintings, sculptures, statues, overall woodwork and furnishings were well represented. Just reading about the history and what the property has gone through and where it is today was heart warming. We had dinner in the courtyard one night and in the main dining room another. The food was delicious...and we are picky eaters. The staff were kind and helpful....especially Rachel and Dennis who are part of the reception team. We were also fortunate to meet the castle owner Gary who was celebrating his 80-something ;-) birthday...to find out he is a fixture throughout the days and evenings as he is still working there along with the staff...which is another high, high mark for any owner. An experience we look forward to having again."
