"Good mostly clean hotel in a handy location. Room was beginning to look a little tired around the edges. Next to the Metrocentre and many shops and restaurants including a handy Toby Carvery for good value breakfast!"

"Short break for a birthday. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. Our room overlooking the river was very nice, somewhere to hang the towels etc in the bathroom would have been a good thing. The spa was good and clean throughout. The food in the evening in Josef's Restaurant was very good and plentiful and there was a good choice for breakfast in the morning too. Overall the staff were very good and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Durham. Looking forward to returning."

"Our room very clean and tidy but did need a little maintenance, ie. bathroom mirror was lose, main door needs draft excluder. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was expensive but well worth having Highly recommend "
