The receptionist Jose Manuel Is super kind and professional. The waiter in the restaurant is very kind and attentive too. The parador is very beautiful, the view from parador is fantastic.
Free parking, easy walk to town. Unfortunately, the bridge was closed when we stayed there. But it only took us extra 10 minutes. Nice service, especially the coffee bar. You can order tapa when you are sitting at hallway.
Interesting property as 500+ monastery that is spectacularly sited on precipice overlooking old town of Cuenca and remaining hanging houses. For a “ four star hotel” service was poor and not very helpful. Bridge to town was out and no accommodations made to help this situation- if your physical condition did not allow a 20 minute walk down and up to town, you had to take a cab. Bridge takes five minutes and puts you in center of town... BIG difference. Service very slow and not very helpful. Except for view and unique, historic building, not worth the money or rating. Cathedral of Cuenca is spectacular and unexpected. Art museum in hanging house is interesting- especially structure. The old town itself is picturesque and charming- not a lot of crowds or tour buses

We loved our stay in this historic building, the rooms are large and very comfortable and the restaurant and bar very good. We enjoyed relaxing in the cloisters! Parking was easy and the views from the hotel just amazing. The walk to the old town should have just been a short walk across the pedestrian bridge. Unfortunately, the entrance to the old town was blocked by workmen and we had a 15 min walk down the hill and then up to the old town. Hopefully this is just temporary. Would love to stay again.
