Great location for families
We stayed for 7 nights, but unfortunately by lunchtime the day after our arrival, the heavens opened up and, apart from some brief respite, persisted for our entire holiday break, dumping over 230mm. The great part of all this was our accommodation, which, while spacious enough indoors, had a large covered outdoor area which contained an 8 seater table and chairs, BBQ, sink, and sun lounges and chairs which could be taken to the lawn. Being only a few minutes walk to the beach, the kids and I braved the elements (we were going to get wet anyway) and headed to the beach during the lighter rainfall periods. The kids also had their own 'escape' playing in an old caravan in the yard which had a tv and comfy cushions. Apart from the rain, which battered all the NSW coast, we had a terrific stay. The owner is also very accommodating with any requests you may have. Thank you.

Wonderful family getaway
This property was a dream for a family with small kids and a dog. It’s secure, clean and the garden is lovely - the kids had a ball in the caravan and outdoor shower after a trip to the beach. The kitchen was really well equipped also. There are a lot of thoughtful touches, safe bunk beds which made our preschooler feel very grown up, and a short pleasant walk to Culburra Beach. Thanks to Kim for our stay. Communication was quick and we appreciated the late checkout as well! Can’t wait for our next visit.

Magnificent!
The house was amazing and the facilities fantastic. We were three adults, two children and two dogs. So easy to relax outside, where we spent most of our time when we weren't at the beach. The dog friendly beach is such a short walk from the house and the kids and dogs had a great time playing in the surf. Fabulous back garden, well fenced and so private. Lots of room inside, good size bedrooms and the boys loved the bunk beds, a new experience for them! We will return as we had such a wonderful time.

What a beautiful property!! Loved the position, the decor, the cleanliness and so close to the beach. There was nothing about it that we didn’t like. We give it 12/10!! Highly recommend.

Total Relaxation
We arrived in pouring rain but it made no difference as we used the BBQ on the huge sheltered deck. The house is brilliantly kitted out with everything you could possibly need. A highlight is the warm outdoor shower. Perfect after a swim that is only a short stroll from the front door. Kim was great, easy to contact and talk to.

Great, relaxing holiday!
Loved staying at Portsea - gorgeous place so close to the beach! We lived on the wonderful back deck and the owners were quick to help when a few issues needed to be sorted out. Would definitely recommend!

Peaceful, pet friendly and relaxing
We were very happy with the 8 nights at this property. Good communication ahead of the stay and the property presented exactly as advertised. Close to the beach and the rear yard was very secure for our two dogs and they loved the off-leash beach just up the road. The shower head in the front yard to wash down the dogs was a great help too thanks. Very pleasant stay, thank you.

Brilliant!!
Beautiful home, brilliant location and wonderful hosts. A spacious and well equipped home that has such a welcoming and relaxing feel. Everything you could possibly need and more was supplied. A 2 minute walk to the end of the road and you’re on a beautiful beach. Nice quiet street and good neighbours and a 3 minute drive to the local shops with everything you need. Lots of activities and places to visit within a half hour drive from Culburra. The little caravan hideaway out the back is perfect for the kids to escape to. The hosts have gone above and beyond to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible and we will definitely be staying there again.

A Lovely home in a beautiful spot
We had a lovely stay at Portsea. The weather wasn’t great but we made the most of it. The house was everything you needed and more for a fun and relaxing get away. The teenagers loved it and so did we. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Kim

Perfect Spot to Stay
This is the perfect beach house, it has everything you need and it’s very close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay as did our dog Daisy. She loved walking along the beach and meeting other dogs. The house has been set up so well, the back yard is securely fenced and you can come through the side entrance and wash sandy feet and paws before entering the house. So handy. We will be back!

We LOVED staying at Portsea. So much care has been taken by the hosts to create a comfortable home with something for every family member to enjoy. We loved playing table tennis on the deck and the outdoor shower under the stars. We will definitely be back!!!

Portsea exceeded our expectation in comfort, cleanliness and facilities. It lacked for nothing. Only 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach and in an area of beautiful scenery including white sandy beaches and lovely little towns like Berry and Huskisson. We would definitely recommend it.

Despite having terrible weather we had a wonderful time at Portsea at Culburra Beach. The covered outdoor area was a godsend - the outdoor shower was lovely. Plenty of space and everything that we needed in terms of cooking/dining equipment. Really cute house - in a lovely part of the world. Hoping for a sunny day on our return visit. Wonderful surprise in Culburra
We know Culburra well & have been staying there with family for years. At our recent holiday we needed a bit of extra space & decided to stay at Portsea. It was a delightful surprise!! We had no idea such a gorgeous place existed so close to where we had been staying. It is so well set up, impeccably clean & great for all ages. It has everything you could want. Kim was so helpful with every aspect of our stay. The photos don’t do the place justice - it is much nicer in real life!! Highly recommended!

Great property, beautifully maintained, thoughtfully laid out and equipped. Tastefully decorated (better than it looks in photos.) Friendly responsive host who went out of her way to help us after a booking error that was my fault. Definitely plan to visit again. Highly recommend.

As for our housekeeping rules, of which there is one laminated sheet with 8 bullet points, it is a recap of those listed in our Terms and Conditions that must be agreed to at time of booking so you would have been aware prior to arrival. If it was the fact that the NSW Govt Code of Conduct was at the home (24 pages) which came into being as of 18 Dec 2020, that is out of my control it must be available at the premises at all times and was sent to you electronically prior to arrival. The Pet Owners guide is a recap of their responsibilities which again are noted on our Terms and Conditions at time of booking. I realise with COVID amongst us rules are becoming somewhat painful but these house rules help me maintain an exceptional standard of cleanliness and orderliness, which has been greatly appreciated, as can be seen from all the glowing reviews Portsea has earned. Wonderful Property
Amazing property, photos don’t do it justice, great location. The outdoor area is perfect for a weekend get away with friends, we enjoyed our stay so much, we added an extra night, Kim was a great host, and very easy to get in contact with, we will definitely be back!

Great summer break
We stayed as a family (4 adults, 3 kids and 1 toddler plus dog) for 1 week in January 2021. It was a lovely break, location was ideal - walking down 3 mins from the house to the beach was super easy especially with a toddler and 3 kids. House was clean and backyard was big so that alot of running around was had by the kids and 4 legged! Kitchen was very well organised with all the tools you need. We had to bring all food staples due to covid but there was no shortage of plates, dishes, cups etc. Beds were well made, towels were fluffy. Communication with Kim was easy - she was very helpful throughout the booking process. We would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing family beach break!

An absolutely stunning location whose pictures don't do it justice. Already recommended it to others
A very well maintained property with lots of beautiful features both inside and outdoors. A very easy process for booking, as well as maintaining communication with the property owner. Hoping to try out the owners other venue next time. Shared pictures with friends and have been asked by many where this is. The distance from the beach is perfect. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean was amazing. 5 star rating in my books!! Loved by the whole family, ages 11 and up!! 😍

Our new happy place
We had the absolute best time at Portsea. Four teenagers, two adults and a dog all found their happy places. The weather was a bit up and down so it was just a delight to have such a comfortable, spacious house with an awesome covered deck and the caravan for the teens to hang out in when the rain fell. And finding such a spotlessly clean, cosy and stylish property that allows pets is truly a gift. The photos on the website look good but wait until you really see it. We had no idea the garden would be so big and it was just perfect for a rambunctious puppy and games of ball. The outdoor fire is gorgeous and likewise the outdoor shower with hot water — the boys were in heaven after surfing! We were very impressed at the attention to detail and Kim was amazing at following up with all our queries in record time. She and Chris run a perfect home away from home and we certainly do not need much enticing to return!

Wonderful break!
We travelled as an extended family, including our 2 kids (almost 1 and 4) and just loved our stay at Portsea. The check-in process was easy, Kim's communication was great, the house was very clean and only a short walk to the beach. We were there during an incredibly hot weekend so the AC was fantastic! We spent the hottest part of both days inside but the house which comfortably fit 6 adults and the backyard was great for a water fight to keep cool. The kids loved the caravan, my Dad loved the outdoor shower (with a hot tap!) and the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. Great yard for both dogs and babies. Couldn't fault it. Hopefully we'll be back one day!

What an awesome week in a beautiful property and great location with very close access to the beach. The house was spotless and perfect for our week away to relax and our 2 dogs loved it as well. The yard was also perfect for the dogs and very secure. We will definitely be back!
