We had a very enjoyable stay at this beautiful cabin. We were so impressed with the comfortable beds, access to television and wi-fi and gorgeous lake view. We definitely recommend this Cabin.
A wonderful place to decompress and enjoy the outdoors. Lots of comfortable swings, hammocks, porches to relax on including the dock. Comfortable rooms and ample kitchen. Views of the lake and sunsets were the best!
What a great place. Comfortable, right on the lake with almost everything you could need. Could use a couple of newer frying pans.
The cabin had a lot of space for us to have space to spread out but also to all come together. I love the 3 season porch.
We loved our stay at the cute cabin in the woods. The lake was so peaceful with the view of a dairy farm across the way. It was just what we needed. The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Wish we could have stayed longer and invited some people to enjoy it with us as there were plenty of beds for sleeping. A nice kitchen for cooking and my favorite 3 season porch.
A small group of us ladies just finished up a relaxing weekend on Lake Largon as our bach party retreat. The cabin was so cute!!!!! It was a peaceful area on a beautiful lake. Im sure we will all be back!!
Our stay at this little gem was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the internet connection was great roo. dock was great for fishing and sunsets. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise. The Steels
Rained all weekend, but that was perfect. Sitting in the screen porch, looking at the lake, watching leaves fall and listening to the rain on the trees and roof. Awesomeness!
I had a lovely stay at this Largon Lake cabin! The cabin itself was very comfortable, and was well-stocked with everything I needed. Everything was easy to find and use, the bed was comfy, and communication with the host, except for a glitch caused very briefly by a weird phone issue, was quick and easy. But for me the best part was the location, the view, and the wonderful lake access!! I had one evening and one day of rain, during which time the porch came in very handy to keep me connected to the lovely view and the peace of the lake. The rest of my time was sunny and bright, and I had a wonderful time taking a kayak out onto the lake every day, usually at sunrise and sunset. Just beautiful!! And I loved spending some time sitting outside in the back yard by the lake reading and soaking up the peace and beauty. It was so lovely I only left once--to go into Cumberland to get some groceries I had forgotten (I was able to find everything I needed at the grocery store there--small but a good variety of items!). As a something of a birder, I loved seeing (and hearing) Sandhill cranes, a pair of cormorants on the lake, my daily eagle sightings, and a pair of swans (tundra swans?). All in all, it was a great retreat at the end of the summer. Thank you for making this beautiful spot available!
On the whole I was quite happy with my stay here. The grounds were mostly well kept, the rental clean, and what equipment we used was functional. And while the wifi wasn't great, it was good enough for streaming. What I call out below is the exception and not the rule, but the listing does a good enough job on it's own identifying it's virtues. Is what wasn't so great that I wanted to call out.
There are no photos of the ground floor bathroom; the one with the shower in it. Said shower is tiny, which is mostly fine. But it also drains very poorly, so the floor of the shower was also very slippery. I never felt fully stable while using it.
The two recliners facing the TV are showing their age. They tended to get stuck in the reclined position and the padding was fairly worn.
While not a surprise, it is worth noting that electrical outlets were a luxury, especially in the bedrooms. One room in particular included a couple of bedside lamps that were not plugged in because there was no where to plug them in.
Finally, in the middle of the night during our stay the battery in carbon monoxide detector died. This is the kind of thing that should really be tested and replaced proactively. Not just because of the safety issue, but because a guest woken up in the middle of the night to a high pitch beep is unlikely to leave a glowing review. To make matters worse, the drawer in the kitchen that was the obvious storage for tools and batteries was such a mess it would barely open.
We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the cabin and lake. Dock fishing was excellent. Cabin was well equipped and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Communication with host was friendly and quick. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
