Beautiful place in Custer!

The cabin was beautiful! It was clean, updated, and had a beautiful view! The hosts were wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The hot tub was a great addition and a great way to wind down the night.

We have rented and stayed in VRBOs all over the country, from Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Michigan, Florida, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, Virginia, and South Dakota. This property by far exceeded all the previous properties. The cleanliness of the property, the stocking of the kitchen, the hot tub, washer and dryer, soap included provided everything we needed. Add a basket full of snacks on the kitchen table to meet us, was the golden touch. The only thing we did not like was having to leave. I totally recommend this property if you have a desire to vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Close to everything! Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horsy, 1880's train, 1 hour from Deadwood and Lead, 2 minutes to downtown Custer, 15 minutes to Hill City and 20- 25 minutes to Keystone. Absolutley beautiful views from the deck off of the kitchen and living room, wildlife abounds, deer, turkey, birds and squirrels. It was so enjoyable setting on the deck with our morning coffee watching all the critters, amazing. Thank you Richard and Jovann for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Views

This place was perfect for our family to unwind and relax. It is close to Mikelson trail and a great central location for all of the activities in the Black Hills. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, And the linens were extra soft. The hostess was amazing to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Views

We fully enjoyed staying here with our family. The kids had room to run around and explore outside and a deck with a beautiful view of the mountain! It was nice to have a ‘home’ to come back to and unwind after a long day of activities.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. Close enough to town but also far enough out of town to feel like you’re in the woods. We loved how updated the cabin is. Downstairs for the family of 4 & then myself upstairs. Sitting on the deck in the mornings & evenings was perfectly comfortable. We appreciated the games & snacks left for us.

Short getaway

I was supposed to run in the Lean Horse Ultra, unfortunately my training “derailed”. We chose to keep our booking and visit this property. So glad we did…AMAZING!!!

Exceeded expectations

This house was every bit of what we expected from the pictures in the listing. The location was a perfect mix of privacy yet close proximity to the town of Custer and the Park. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals during our week long stay and the lower level was perfect for the kids. We watched the sunset on the mountains from the hot tub every night. We would definitely recommend this home.

Beautifully Amazing

This cabin truly has it all, views, amenities and luxuries. The owners had everything we could ever need fully stocked at the cabin. It is so close to the beautiful town of Custer, yet so easy to get to Mt.Rushmore, Sylvan Lake or any other excursions. The owners were incredibly responsive and easy to work with and even left some nice surprises for us upon our arrival. Truly a 5 star property. Thank you for making this such a great home away from home during our 1st family vacation!

Lovely house in black hills

Top notch by far best vrbo ever stayed in, and we’ve been staying in vrbo for decades. Hosts thought of everything we might need! From the wonderful beds, fully equipped kitchen even s’mores for the fire pit! Located close to town of Custer and the parks. We hope to come back!!! We were sad to leave. Thanks for sharing with us!

Beautiful Home with Many Extras

The home and the views are so outstanding, the owners would not have to do anything else for this to be a wonderful stay. Instead, they have added many extras for the comfort of the customer (well-stocked kitchen, plush linens, access to a garage, wood for firepit, and birdseed for the feeders). Very clean. It takes just a few minutes to be in downtown Custer, so add location to the mix!

Perfect cabin getaway

We had an incredible stay at this Black Hills property! The location is simply stunning, offering panoramic views that were a joy to wake up to every morning. One of our favorite moments was savoring our morning coffee on the spacious deck, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and watching the sunrise over the hills. The property itself was perfect for our family. The kids had a blast exploring the expansive grounds, discovering wildlife around every corner. It was wonderful to see them engage with nature and make memories they'll cherish. Inside, the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owners were also very accommodating and provided helpful tips for local attractions and dining options. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better retreat in the Black Hills. Perfect Perfect Perfect

We pulled into the driveway and were greeted by two fawns on the front lawn. How idyllic! The entrance was beautifully decorated for Autumn with pumpkins and mums. We walked into a clean and well styled home with wine and charcuterie awaiting us. My fav! Amazing views from the large windows pulled you outside onto the back deck. This home was perfect for our group. (Two couples) The split floorplan gave each couple privacy. Two King beds were very comfortable. Soft pillows and linens. Plenty of towels available. Kitchen was well supplied. The hot tub was much needed at the end of our fun filled days. This property is close to all of the attractions we were planning to visit but still felt secluded and private. Approximately 1 mile from downtown Custer's shops, restaurants and grocery store. The owners were a delight and easy to work with. We appreciated not having a laundry list of "chores" to accomplish before checking out. We have recommended this property to our friends and family and would stay here again without hesitation.
