We loved our stay here! Beautiful and peaceful location. Very clean and well kept. We will definitely stay here again if we make another trip out to the Black Hills.
The home was immaculate. Situated on a hill, we had amazing views of both the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed the visiting deer, rabbits and even an eagle!Doug and Debbie were the perfect hosts and even shared some fresh tomatoes from their garden.!Couldn't ask for a better place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay here so much! It was super clean and comfortable. The hosts had a sweet card and treats waiting for us when we checked in, which was a completely unexpected touch. You won't be disappointed staying here!
This was the perfect place to relax after sightseeing and hiking all day! Everything was super clean, and comfortable. Can’t recommend this place enough!
It was immaculate, comfortable & I would definitely stay again. The bed was comfortable, towels were soft & fluffy & the little kitchen was great for fixing snacks & quick meals.
This place is perfect for a quiet country setting. Spotlessly clean, everything we needed along with a sweet welcome card and snacks.. If you don't want to be in the middle of the city, THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE! We loved watching the bunnies that live under the porch! Super host!!!
The cabin was the perfect location to all the sites we wanted to see, Black Hills, Custer State Park, National Parks, and Mt Rushmore. Check-in was very easy and the cabin was extremely clean. We had a question about the gas grill while we were there and the hosts were super responsive.
We loved our stay!
We were pleased with our accommodations.
The cabin was clean, cozy and charming. The host communicated well and let me know pertinent info. The cabin is small but it was all my husband and I needed. Would definitely book this cabin again if we were ever in the area.
Debbie and Doug were wonderful hosts. The cabin was so clean! The beds were comfortable after a long day of adventures. There was a booklet with favorite places nearby to eat, shop and see. I will definitely recommend this cabin to friends!
Everything is advertised accurately. Very clean, comfortable, cozy and the owners are very thoughtful (sweet welcome card, available if you have questions, family games to available play, smart tv, etc). The outside seating area is great. The central location was great for all the sites we saw. I highly recommend!!
Argyle Acres was the perfect home base for exploring all of the National & State parks nearby. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, & had everything you might need. I even met the host when we were both outside taking photos of the beautiful sunset one evening. We definitely recommend this adorable cottage!
We felt at home from the moment we stepped into the cabin. Inside was wonderfully decorated and inviting. Very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The property managers were very willing to do what ever we needed to make our stay the best it could be. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.
This house was perfect for our week in South Dakota! The house was clean and exactly as listed. The yard was great for our girls to play volleyball and soccer in the evenings.
Location was great too! Would definitely come back!
The property was beautiful. The hosts were friendly. Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable and we all had a great vacation. I would recommend this to anyone.
Everything about our stay was perfect. We especially enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunset. The stars were breathtaking and we found ourselves staring at them. Debbie and Doug are great hosts. We would definitely recommend their cottage to our family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Argyle Acres. The house was the perfect size for our family of four. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cookie sheets, and cooking utensils. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was a great location - driving distance to all of the sights, and then come home away from the hustle and bustle for dinner and relaxing in the evening. We had fun cooking s'mores in the fire pit area. It was a great stay; one of the nicest VRBOs we've stayed in!
We came up to relax & explore the Black Hills, Jewel Cave & Mt Rushmore without camping. This modern home feels like leaps up from clamping without the crowds of town and hotels. It was perfect! After a day exploring, we could come back and play games, make s’mores, cook our own meals (food allergies here) & sleep with fresh air coming in the windows in cozy beds.
Debbie & Doug were perfect hosts. She replied so fast to questions I had when preparing, helped with some suggestions (like making sure to have a reservation at Jewel Cave & spending enough time in Custer state park). It truly was exactly what we were looking for on this summer breakaway!
Plan to tuck suitcases away or lay flat & open under the bed as there aren’t closets but the space was perfect for our family of 3.
Be sure to make time to try The Custer Wolf if you also have food allergies (or even if not). The service & food were 5* too!
Thank you for such a wonderful place!
Our stay at Argyle Acres was amazing! We are a family of 4 (the two of us and our two kiddos ages 5, and 9), and the space was great! From the beginning, Debbie and Doug were amazing to work with! They are very kind and responsive hosts, who truly care about your stay and comfort. Everything was so clean and inviting from the moment we pulled in and stepped inside! The welcome card was very thoughtful, as well as the S'mores Station supplies. Everything was very organized and easy to use/find. When we did need help, both Debbie and Doug were very prompt and accommodating. Our son LOVED the soft rug, and our daughter loved the serenity and peace of being in nature. The beds and pillows were all very comfortable, and the towels were SO FLUFFY! Our kids loved the extra throw blankets, and the campfire blankets provided, as well. We had everything we needed to make simple meals during our stay, and were thankful for all the fresh supplies (the new dish sponge, paper towels, etc) to help keep things clean. We all enjoyed bonding over the board games that were available, during the small windows of downtime we had between our adventures. I will never get over how beautiful the sunset and sunrise are over the landscape, there. It was truly an unforgettable stay, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for serenity while being in a perfect location to get to many of the amazing sites to see in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
