For a budget option, this place was fantastic. Food was great, the fire show was a hit and the pool was clean and great for swimming. Staff were friendly and our rooms were clean, the Aircon was artic and the grounds were well maintained. Overall very happy. We will definitely come back.

Pool for kids was great. Kula bird park close by for kids activities. If you want other resturants / food/dinning options to whats at the resort then you will have to drive to possibly sigatoka town. However, resorts kitchen has lots of good food options.

Nice place for a two night stay.

Nice place for a two night stay. We used it as a base so to visit the Sigatoka Sand Dunes which are near by as well as a costal drive and inland hike to a water fall and swim. The resort was nice, a bit older with basic but clean accommodations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The oddest part is the three time per week Polynesian not Fijian dance performance. Guests from the Shangri La Resort come for the free show. The boisterous Aussies and Kiwis seemed to enjoy it. We thought it out of place. The only negative was an odd smell at times that seemed to be from sewage.

Honestly, the property itself needs some work, there are missing tiles around the pool and mattresses could do with an upgrade. But for value for money and friendlies of staff you can't pass Gecko's. There are 2 fantastic pools, the fire show is fabulous and the food from the restaurant is tasty. Banana pancakes and grilled mahi mahi highly recommended. Nothing is too much trouble for Katalina, Mere, Maria, Abo and Casa, they made us feel so welcome and comfortable, one of the best holidays we've had.

We had a lovely stay here, the staff were helpful and the food was great. We spent most of our time out of the resort seeing the sights of the Coral Coast and having day trips at some of the more family centred resorts (Outrigger was incredible for a day trip). This is great budget accommodation, it's clean, food tastes great and is a good size, the fire show is an easy highlight. The pools are not the best, but, they are pools, they were clean and there is two! A heads up if you are wanting to visit some of the more expensive resorts that Shangri-La, across the road from Gecko's was not allowing day visits at the time of our trip and had not for some time - that may change at some stage, but, from what we heard, not likely.

Thin walls can hear your neighbours. Upon checking in, there’s bo trolley to transport luggage to the room which was at the very back. To see the fire show, you have to make dinner reservations. I booked a massage and the massage lady didn’t show up. Nice fire show interactive with guests and that was the only thing we really enjoyed.

The resort itself is fine. Nice layout, great pool, excellent breakfast and mostly comfortable rooms. It’s the little things: making you pay for wifi and then it cutting out halfway through your allotted time or the absolute gouging at the restaurant or not being able to turn off AC so it’s freezing cold . Considering what I paid, it just doesn’t seem commensurate with the experience.

I liked the free DVD rental to watch in the room, since the property is across the Queen's Road from the beach and not so easy to go for a stroll or swim. I also liked that there ware no mosquitos in the room, since it was sprayed just after I checked in, although the toxic fume made me nautious. I didn't like the insecurity of having to write down my credit card details on a paper for the security deposit, despite having given it to Expedia.
