"The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!"

Good blackout curtains which is rare .Parking was as described and was a pain but car park is free and lots of room . We were too hot as the downstairs heating couldn't be turned off and it was unexpected hot weather . Had to leave the upstairs windows open . Loved the character of the cottage and the fact that I could walk to a bench by the sea...

"I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"Cosy retreat, away from the hustle and bustle. Simplistic but everything we needed. Beautiful walks. Great and safe for our elderly dog who enjoyed the freedom. Good location to visit lochs etc."

"What had a fabulous stay at Friars Carse. It is set in glorious surroundings, and the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. We staying in one of the cottages in the grounds and it was perfect in every way - clean, spacious, with all the furnishing in good order and of high quality. The food in the hotel was lovely, fresh, good portion size and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit! "
