Amazing location just steps from all my deep ellum faves like three links music venue, serious pizza, and more. Well appointed, clean rooms. Secret speakeasy downstairs. Nice kitchen and common areas. Safe and convenient
This is a great area if you want to be able to walk around and visit nearby bars, venues and restaurants. VERY vegan-friendly! The hostel itself is nice and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else other than here!
location was great.. loved being right in the center of deep Ellum.. but at times I felt unsafe.

ok stay for budget travel
The hostel is in a bustling part of Dallas, lots of bars/restaurants walking distance but the quality of the stay was average for a private room. The WiFi didn’t work at all during my stay which can be inconvenient if you work remote, also the cleanliness was subpar, finding hairs etc in parts of the room. It gets quite noisey at night but that’s to be expected given the area. I didn’t like the fact there’s no inside lock on the door, being a solo female safety is always main concern. So I just put a chair at the door to suffice
The hostel was very clean and very friendly! My first time staying at a hostel! Highly recommend! On elm st and a bunch of things to do in walking distance!

Thank you for letting us know we did not live up to our cleanliness and sanitation standards during your stay, we work very hard to make sure we provide clean and sanitized accommodations to our guests but as with anything sometimes we make mistakes. Were you able to let staff know of your issues during your stay? We are here 24/7 to address and resolve any issues you may have
Funky comfortable place. Really nice towels and sheets and comfy mattresses and pillows. Friendly staff that offer help with finding information on whatever you need. Close to the train station, so easy to get around.
Absolutely loved seeing a new up & coming art district. Plenty of restaurants & music within walking distance. However, from the second I parked I was approached by pan handlers in both the front & rear lots. I was told cars get broken into in the rear and to pay to park up front. They offer ear plugs at the front desk which I didn’t think much of initially but soon found out why. It was a Wednesday night yet fireworks and noise are rampant until 4am or longer. The mattresses are so hard you may as well sleep on the floor. No really-bring a topper. There are no tvs in room and no noise insulation. This is evident when everytime someone whispered or coughed I had to turn around to make sure no one was in my room. The hallway bathrooms needed much attention but were nice and clean within the rooms. Overall, loved seeing the area. Loved the art and seeing the revitalization happening but I doubt I stay again because I enjoy sleep.
Close to downtown which was nice. Although I don’t get why the rooms were so dimly lit. You couldn’t find anything past 3pm

Thanks for your review!
For future reference, all of the lights in the rooms are on dimmers, the light control button has brightness control on it, let staff know and we can show you how to make the lights brighter/dimmer!
Our check-in experience was excellent. Brandon even provided us with a free drink token for the joined bar next door. However, our room had not been cleaned. Beds were freshly slept in and unkept. All the towels were dirty and spread around the room. Trash was left on the table. The attendant promptly had the rooms cleaned before we returned from our night out. However, the beds were uncomfortable, and you could hear the other guests conversations pretty clearly at 8 am. I would not recommend this spot for light sleepers. I'd give a higher rating if the room was cheaper, say less than $100 per night. $200 is way too high for the experience. Location is great if you plan to walk around Deep Ellum, but sleeping here is not pleasant.
Really cool place to stay in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not great for business travel... only one ironing board and it’s in public space, no closets to hang clothes, and no parking provided. However as a casual stay I could not recommend more! Excellent suggestions for things to do in a very walkable neighborhood fun to explore. Street parking wasn’t bad and several lots nearby.
It was one of the most tranquil stays ive had while in dallas. The staff was so courteous and professional I really felt part of a close and warm family.
The staff are so unforgettable
Tamarious was the gentlemen always prompts and professional
Rachel was like the little big sister always a favor away with a smile
Valerie was the quiet partner you always are glad to see when walking in late at night from Deep Ellum debauchery
Ms. Nikki, they call her the team bully but she has more of the Undercover boss vibe. She knows all the ins and outs
Brandon, this guy is the sweetest guy you will ever meet, even his bad side has decorum
The remainder Allen Jeremy and Skylet I only met in passing but they were enough for me to remember their names.
I consider this the Cheers of Hostels. I travel for a living and I will always remember this name
The hostel itself is excellent! Super clean, helpful staff and decently comfy. However the "neighbors" are atrocious! There is one particular bar across the street that BLARES rap music almost non stop except for Sunday morning. Blech!
It was a great location, very clean, funky decor and very friendly. I got one of the private rooms. The only thing I could have asked for was a TV. I know I'm in an entertainment precinct but when I got tired I would have loved a little tv to unwind to. All in all a great stay and I would recommend and stay there again.
I emailed in advance to be sure I would be accommodated. When I walk in, Sasha is helping a Male and then proceeds to tell him he has Room 10. I'm thinking maybe I misheard, no I did not. I watched and heard her give my Room away, which she had said was her personal favorite. I was excited about Room 10 and I'll never know what Room 10 is like. Instead, I stayed in a Room that looked like it was in process of being renovated and a full bed. Awesome. Based off the lack of accountability and service, I dont think I'll be back.
Absolutely fantastic. Great hotel, great location, great people. Have to be ready for a little more spartan conditions, but it's FAR from uncomfortable. yes, it can be a little loud, so if you're sensitive to noise at night, it might not be for you.
I got a private room and the bed I believe was memory foam. I slept great. The location is in the heart of the music district and there is plenty of places to visit all in walking distance.
The location was amazing, the bed was comefortable. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The decor was very cool and the staff was friendly and helpful.
I mean, it's labeled a 'hostel' so you have to go into it knowing that it's not a Four Seasons. The staff were very very friendly, and probably the best part about the place. Sheets were clean, bathroom was fine, free WiFi, overall I would stay there again.
Stayed in a room with a private bathroom.
The bar on the 1st floor produces too much noise until after midnight - the bar's sound system seemed to be attached right under the floor (but no noise in the bathroom).
Old wooden logs coming out of the brick wall, as well as the cement crunches fall on the bed and table.
The wall socket on the left side of the bed is unusable - the bed closes it completely.
No vent switch in the bathroom.
No floor towel in the bathroom.
My husband and two of our friends stayed in a private room. It was perfect. Just a few blocks from where we were seeing a show. It was clean and nice. The neighborhood is noisy late into the night. They give out earplugs at the front desk as a remedy.
