There was significant water damage in our room and it had a terrible musty smell. The carpet in our room was also disgusting. If we had arrived earlier we would have gone somewhere else.

Stayed for a whole week, last 2 days, ended up with no hot water for showers, barely luke warm. Seems like this facilities water heater can't handle growing capacity. Was going to bring it up at the front desk when i checked out, but was not asked 'how was my stay', so didnt bring it up. Little disappointed with last 2 days.

Only downside, is not alot of resturants nearby that are open past 10pm, but all was great otherwise. No complaints.

The fold out bed mattress had a blood stain. The loud music was going until I finally called at 3 am to complain. Apparently they were allowing a pool party to happen even when It was closed.

First off, the tv remote was missing, no big deal, easily replace. When i asked for a replacement bulb for one of the lamps, i was told maintenance would handle it. They didn't. When i asked if they had a bulb they could give me so I could replace it, they agin told me maintenance would replace. Again they didn't. They only have the liquid soap in containers that are permanently fixed to the wall on the shower, presumably to keep people from stealing it? But I think the big thing was when i discovered one of the beds smelled like pee( guess how i found out), and told them about it. Nothing was done to remedy the situation other than housekeeping making the bed. Obviously I slept in the other bed.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They got my WiFi connected when I had difficulty with the code. I specially liked how they hooked me up with shuttle service "Colleague Tranzit" at over half price of a yellow cab. The driver "Crissy" was very professional and polite. She asked me if I preferred a specific route to take to go to airport, and although I did not care as long as she was going to get me to airport, that was a nice gesture starting a friendly conversation. The cab was clean, her driving was excellent and I felt safe at all times. She knew the airport area well to drop me off at the right place. You should continue working with this suttle service!

It was close to the venue that we visited and it was convenient. In addition, issues were minimal. The only two issues I encountered were related to only receiving decaf coffee pods (no problem, I had brought my own) and the body wash container seemed to be filled with lotion. Unfortunately, I did not being my own. All in all it was a clean and convenient stay. I would stay again if needed.

Holliday inn was one of the best.
Thor was one of the best trips ever. The staff was polite and courteous. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby. I would truly recommend this stay to anyone and everyone. Will definitely return.

Nasty little surprise at check-in
Everything appeared to be going smoothly until we arrived for check-in. I was asked for my credit card and I said I'd already paid for the room. I was then notified that they wanted a "convenience fee" of $50 per day and that it would be returned 5 to 7 days after leaving. Nowhere was this mentioned during me booking the room. I also have 20 years experience in credit card processing. I know for a fact that the fee could be returned to the card just as quickly as it is taken yet companies like Holiday Inn hold on to the money to earn interest on it. It's called "float" and it may not seem like that much but when you do it over thousands and thousands of transactions it can add up.

I had never been to Garland TX before, so the to me the staff was super friendly and helpful. The Holiday Express was very clean and super comfortable. I even told the staff the truth in wanting to take their bed home with me!!!!!! 😂
