The first thing I noticed was that the entire property smelled terrible. The foul odors weren't limited to the lobby area; my room reeked as well. The facility is old and appears to be poorly maintained. During my two-day stay, I encountered two roaches in my room. One I managed to kill before it could scurry away; the other will likely menace the next guest. Also, one of the lamps in my room was completely missing a bulb. There was a cigarette butt in the interior stairwell on the day I checked in, and it remained there on the day I checked out.

The kitchen…. Yay for longer stays. I stayed for a month. Bought some groceries to stay on my budget and they really took all that into consideration. Standard fridge, electric stove, dishwasher, dishes and even my coffee maker was not a one cup system. I made tea in it and in big batches so that was cool. Workspace was awesome I had plenty of work to do I spread it out all over the place the desks were very accommodating. My biggest thing was that they need to upgrade a few things. Not a big deal yet but it will be in the future and that’s The tv with regular cable. I wanted to connect with some of my apps like Netflix or Viki so something they probably already have plans for. Very convenient. The Mall is like an 8 minute walk. If you’re me 5 minutes lol. You have access to Fwys, lots of places to eat I recommend el maizal. Walmart and target are very close by. So overall great place just mind your peeps as always there are many nice people here that’ll bid you good morning and then you have a Karen nagging about problems that only she can see…lol I’d visit again if I’m ever in Texas again..

The carpet in hallways was very dirty; the room itself was clean. The elevator seemed very unsafe doors got stuck and made a lot of concerning noises. The day of checkout, the elevator quit working, and with a cart full of luggage on the 3rd floor, my wife and I had no way to get down. So we had to get one of the cleaning ladies to call the desk, and her response was, "It happens a lot. Give me a moment.".

The carpet had an odor to it and needed to be at least cleaned if not replaced. There were large 6” long tears in the carpet. The drywall around the mini spilt heat/air unit was molding and had sign of water. The towel hook in the bathroom came off when a towel was placed on it. The room had an odor as did the halls. There was no continental breakfast or pool.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There were roaches everywhere from the bathroom to the kitchenette to the desk. The microwave in the first room I stayed at was not working. The tub was not working correctly as well. I was able to get transferred to another room after the first night, and I found a roach in my microwave. my leg was injured so changing hotel rooms was an inconvenience for me. The desk lamp light did not work. The TV channels did not line up with what the TV said the channels were. Plus there was no channel guide. I was told that they don’t come to clean rooms but once a week. so my trash built up.

I picked this one because I have stayed at other sonatas and they were very nice. This was a dump. The lady up front was not very friendly. The front area was tiny and looked very awkward. The hotel had a smell to it. The room had no soap or anything in the restroom or room. There was an open electrical lighting fixture exposed in the ceiling. The lights were dim in the room. Overall just a huge disappointment and dirty. I expected a lot more being right next to the high end galleria mall.

Stacey is not very knowledgeable and caused a huge issue with my checkin. First she said she had my booking and took my credit card to place a hold for secuirty, then she said she made a mistake and cant guve me a room. She assured me she did not charge me anything. I called expedia.com and they called stacey and she told expedia.com that we were charged for 1 night. My current statement is showing two charges for 2 nights. This is the worst service i have ever had while traveling i will never be back to so esta and stacey should he retrai ed or replaced.

THE WORST EVER…
This is the worst place I have ever stayed. Thought I would check it out for my company to potentially use for all business trips. HOWEVER I was very uncomfortable. 1st I was put on the 3rd floor with the elevator not working. That was impossible to do with a baby to carry up 3 flights of stairs. I eventually got moved to the 1st floor. Well that room DID NOT have heat so I was freezing the 1st night after telling the Hispanic lady and the black lady that the heat didn’t work. They did nothing.. the 2nd night I reported to a Hispanic male who didn’t care as he continued to speak with another worker then walked outside as if I said nothing. I cleared out the room and headed back to Arkansas at 10pm with my 6 month old. It was better in my car on a 5 hour drive than staying in that room.. they really need to shut this place down!!!

The stay was good, we certainly did not enjoy the issues we had with the security deposit which they never refunded. We had to do everything through the American Express customer support which took 3 weeks at least. This really disappointed us.

Not the best of times
Staff was friendly and quick at check in. The room appeared tidy but the countertops and table were dirty and the chairs had crumbs on them. I also had a problem with the toilet running and not wanting to flush. When reported, this item was corrected quickly. The shower diverter was also going to be broken, not allowing me to take a shower prior to leaving the next morning. This was reported to the counter staff at check out. Given these issues, it would have been nice to have received some sort of refund or return voucher but all I received was an apology and reassurance that the correction would be made. I also found it off putting that a parking fee was charged but not disclosed at booking. The fee was minor but I did not see any mention of this when booking the room online. Overall, I don’t think I’d stay at this hotel again.

Nice suites hotel.
Nice large room with kitchen facilities. Very convenient to my destination. I personally prefer to look after my own room, so the no-maid service was fine.Only slight complaint was a faint smell of stale smoke in the room, which is of course strictly non-smoking.

A bit better than a motel 6
Lots of problems with fixtures and the elevator is questionable. Saw a lot of wall damage in the room and my first room did not have a working shower head! Beds are comfy, but my room smells weird like wet carpet. And there is $150 deposit required for my incidentals !

It was ok. Value for money. The room had a kitchen with a full fridge, microwave, burner and dishwasher. Lacked paper towels and or/tea towels. Had a coffee maker but no coffee! Bathroom was ok—it was an accessibility with good hand rails. But only had towels. No wash cloths and no hand towels. Also no sink space for toiletries. Room has an easy chair, a place to eat and a chair. No USB ports anywhere! Bed is a Queen, which we didn’t mind, but it was too soft for us and I didn’t sleep well. However, it was good value for the money.

The staff there was very condescending and seemed upset. We arrived at the hotel at 1am because of a flight delay. When we arrived the girl didn’t seem to know what she was doing. The cleanliness at the elevator to our first room was filthy. There were weird liquids and food on the floor and the smell of Raid infested the hall way. When we went up to the first room, the room had a horrible tobacco smell. We couldn’t stand the smell because of how bad it was. We went downstairs to request a new room, and was thankfully given a new room. Never once did they come in to take care of the room or replace towels. No customer service or cleanliness of housekeeping. Definitely not staying here again.

Don’t waste your money
Substandard lodging experience characterized by an unwelcoming staff and subpar accommodations. The air conditioning unit proved inadequate, resulting in an uncomfortably warm room. The overall ambiance resembled a dilapidated hourly rental "suite," culminating with an uncomfortably inadequate bed.

Just OK. Was expecting nicer amenities given the proximity to other Galleria area hotels. Furniture in our room was a bit older but fit in with the popcorn ceilings I guess.
