I had a few issues checking in and getting situated. One room the dishwasher was beeping than I got another room and it was food from a party the fridge and hairs in the shower. I slept on top of the covers. If everything had just been cleaner it would’ve been great plus top golf is near and around the hotel there were good food options.

My family and I are well traveled and the lack of customer service , hospitality was concerning. Our room was less than thoroughly cleaned and missing items that should have been available in our rooms and or at the front desk? My teenagers had a few unexpected encounters with the staff which was upsetting . Complementary breakfast and cocktail hour was good idea but was underwhelming and needs to be revamped. The one woman that worked in the morning at front desk was nice and explained the rewards program to my husband . The property is located in a great location, staff was helpful. However, our room was not cleaned correctly, there were socks from previous guest left under a coach and the restroom was in terrible condition. There were stains everywhere.

Stay But Be Ready to Cross Back Over the Bridge
Staybridge Suites Plano-The Colony is not the same hotel we stayed in back in 2021. This go around, the hotel--at least the room we were in--was pretty tired. Ceiling repairs were very subpar; walls pretty dinged up; desk chair had burn holes throughout; both leg rests for the couch were so rickety they would collapse if anyone were to sit on them; when we checked in our bedding had unknown stains and marks on them; the kitchen set-up was so anemic that we had to wash dishes after every meal or snack; the microwave was not working, having been replace with a small desk one; no ventilation in the bathroom; and we stopped counting. We are hardcore Staybridge clients and I have to say that this was by far the worst we've stayed in the last 7 years. The place is not irredeemable. It can be saved. It just needs some major updating and a commitment from management for high standards to be maintained. I would not say "don't stay" here. I would only caution you not to get your hopes up. We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and a birthday and I failed to deliver the goods this go round. Oh well. You win some, and you loose some I guess.

I give my stay a 10 out of 10. I had a wonderful experience and my first time staying in a Staybridge. The staff was friendly, the room had everything we needed, and clean. The location was even better with so many things to do and eat just 5 minutes away from the hotel. Totally recommend!

Great Experience!
The hotel was great. Room was clean, inviting and very comfortable. It was 109 outside and the AC ran beautifully keeping us nice and cold. Breakfast was great. They have a good selection and the waffle maker was in the shape of Texas! I would defiantly stay again.

The bathroom mirror was very dirty and spotty. NO towels were left in room. Floors hadn't been swept. I think they just didn't finish cleaning room but booked it out anyway. Ask for some on check in and rec'd right before I checked out next day. Got locked out of room and keys wouldn't work after redone. Had to take lock off. Manager at desk didn't seem to care.

IHG Staybridge Colony Dissappointment
The night associate was very rude and went to buy from snacks ect and the actual charge price was higher then the posted price. Lastly, the happy hour dinner was mashed potatoes and broccoli plus breakfast was no better. The first room was smoke odorous and had to change. I stay at stay bridge all the time and this was a total disappointment.

A convenient location. However, our room did not have a coffee maker nor coffee filters. Also, no hair dryer in room. I did ask the front desk for these and they were delivered later. The clock radio in room did not work, so could not set an alarm. Also, the frame for the built-in microwave was on wall, but had a microwave on counter to use. Silverware supplied only had one fork. No phone in room. The property allows dogs, and next to us a dog in the room kept yapping at night. Not a restful stay.

Check in person was nice. Breakfast was good. The bedroom had ketchup on the floor needed to be clean the sheets where dirty. On Tuesday night there was loud music at night outside by the pool we couldn’t get no sleep obviously the staff didn’t do anything about it. It was ok but we will stay again.

Not bad. Not good.
Not the greatest experience at this hotel. Pretty strong loser vibe from the guests. An extended stay hotel in a non-tourist area yet not many people seemed to be working jobs. Then of course you get the smell of weed getting off the elevator. And my favorite was the loud music two of my nights. It takes a special person to blast music at 1030pm on a Tuesday and think thats okay. Now there were so good things. The cleaning crew does an amazing job. The staff was always helpful and friendly. If you have a dog its a viable option. The price was pretty reasonable. I don't think I'll stay at this hotel again but it wasnt a total disaster. If you're in The Colony I'd probably spend a few extra dollars and go elsewhere.

Wish the coffee pot hadn't been so basic....and that weird switch by the door that turned off all the power in the bathroom/dressing area? Otherwise ALL WAS AWESOME!!!

The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful when anything was requested. But the room upon arrival was absolutely unacceptable. Every glass, plate and bowl in the dishwasher was nasty. Caked on food and no dish towel left to even wash them. No towels were replaced and had to set the trash cans outside of the room for them to be dumped. There were random dirty socks under the couch which we discovered when pulling out the sofa bed. Upon checking out had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk at 11am to assist. The housekeeping staff had to search for her. Will not be returning to this particular property.
