Shocked that this is a Westin
The room had a few nicks and paint/varnish wearing off. The TV didn't offer streaming from your phone, which is an expected amenity in any upscale hotel now. The TV service in your Elliptical machines had the wrong channels associated with the guide. So trying to choose CBS and getting NBC, etc. There is only ONE exercise mat in the fitness facility. There are only two of the five treadmills functioning. On the first day I requested two extra foam pillows. It took FIVE requests over two days to get TWO PILLOWS. Also, housekeeping removed the robe from the room but didn't give a replacement. This is a Westin and supposedly a luxury experience. I have paid less for a resort on a beach in the Mexican Riviera than I did for this trip in Dallas. This service was not close to worth it for the expense. On a high note, the valet with the cowboy hat was great. Very active and provided great service.

They never told me that breakfast was for 2 then I get a $150 bill. I will never pay that much for breakfast. The eggs were cold and watery. The hotel garage was leaking with water which made them cut the water off. Too much going on for $300+ a night hotel. Besides that, the room and view was awesome!

Overall great hotel. There are some maintenance issues of upkeep that I believe are being handled now - mainly water damage. Hotel is pet friendly however only a small area for pet relief across the street - about as expected downtown. Bed and pillows were not great. We utilized the pool which was abit cloudy for my liking but was well maintained. Staff was beyond friendly and assisted with anything we needed.

Reading some of the other reviews one would think some of these people don’t even understand they are staying in a hotel with other people. The staff here were extremely helpful and friendly, the room (and hotel) was very clean and overall very quiet. This is my choice for a moderately priced hotel downtown.

Location to check in from ground floor is one level up. Very inconvenient taking bags up two flights of escalators. The front desk staff were not friendly. Not sure why you have a room for four and they only provide 3 towels and 3 wash rags. Had to call for more to be brought up.

We requested several things at the front desk (special pillows and extra coffee) which we were told would happen but did not. There were no instructions on how to access the room with the keycard. The elevators require use of the keycard to access the floor, which is a nice security function, but was not explained at checkin. The layout is somewhat confusing, but could be addressed with better signage. The hotel is located in One Main Place building and it is confusing what is for the building and what is for the hotel, eg, parking. The checkout time is not printed anywhere in the room, or materials available in the room, but was available on the website. The charges for parking are confusing and conflicting as it says 30 for selfpark on the website but signs say different amounts. It remains to be seen what we are charged when we check out. The beds are very comfortable and overall our stay has been very pleasant.

Great location but problems with door access
Everything was great, except for a problem with access to the room. My room was next to another room in the corner of the building and there was another door with a lock on it in front of the doors to the two rooms. There were problems with that exterior door that kept us getting in and out of the room.
