I was shouted at when entering hotel and hotel staff didn’t help. Pool area was messy and zero towels. Not what I expected from such a great rated hotel.

The lobby and room were beautiful. The room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious. The only reason for the power score was that the pool was so cold it wasn't even usable (we were under the assumption that the pool was heated) which was great disappointment for our kids.

Great location downtown that is right on a light rail line and within walking distance to many sites. Outdoor pool is very cold but a nice rooftop setting.

For such a beautiful hotel, we were all very disappointed. Our group flew in from Korea and California for the Solar Eclipse Weekend. We had 3 rooms and everyone had issues. From check-in to housekeeping to restaurants, to pool to food to elevators to getting stuck in the stairwell. Due to the busy weekend, we could not relocate. The best thing that came out of the trip was the hotel deck we viewed the solar eclipse from. Even there, we met several families and they too were complaining about their experiences. It almost felt like the hotel had a brand new staff brought in just for the weekend and no pre-planning to accommodate for this very special event.

The staff and restaurant/lounge are fantastic. The rooms felt more worn than I would expect for the price and the automated heating/cooling wasn't working properly so my room was freezing all night. It would have been great to have it automatically turn on when I checked in.

The hotel is lovely with uniquely elegant decor and staff is attentive. The location is convenient to downtown. The premium king room is well appointed, but not a great value for the nightly rate. Noise was an issue, we could easily hear the elevator, our neighbors, and people in the hallway.

Great for a couples getaway

Staff was great. Main complaint is how uncomfortable the beds were. Hard as a rock. Half of the pillows were feathered down comfy pillows while half seemed like they were falling apart where the cotton pieces were chunky and flat. For a 5 star hotel we expected the comfort level to be a little higher.

Hotel was beautiful. Clean and staff was professional and friendly. The thermostat didn’t seem to be working well, so we were hot a lot of the night but overall it’s a great place to stay.

For the price I would expect front line staff to be friendlier and more helpful. Front desk staff seemed unhappy with their job and irritated. Valet was very friendly Rooms are basic, bed comfortable This was our only experience with unfriendly people in all of Texas. We LOVED Ft. worth’s people immensely and will stay in that area next time we visit!

The pool was great. The restaurants were top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Use of the house car was such an added treat. The only negative was that the breakfast room service started too late as well as coffee service for a downtown hotel in a big city. I would definitely stay at the Thompson again.
