"The room was extremely clean and fresh-smelling. The bathtub/shower was a clean, one-piece unit. Really a great find and value; this was the least expensive hotel in the area....but WOW, what a deal! I was very pleased and happy."

"While we didn’t use all the amenities, there were plenty. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the towels were plentiful, large and moisture wicking and the furnishings were comfortable. The host emailed after arrival to check that everything was fine. The house has a beautiful view and is a truly wonderful place to stay. We will book with them again."

"Overall, this is a charming lakefront home that leans into the fishing cabin vibe with décor and kayaks. The cigar lounge was a great spot that guests would enjoy. I would have liked to give this home a higher rating, but it lacked the attention to detail needed to make it a highly rated vacation rental. Here are a few reasons why I couldn't give this vacation rental a higher rating: - Cleanliness of ground level - Smell of cooked fish, crumbs under the dining table, apparent spilled drink on side table and floor. I purchased cleaning supplies and took care of these issues. Overall the home was clean, but not what I would expect at a vacation rental. The property management company texted me on the first day to ask about the cleanliness and I made them aware of these issues. -No kitchen essentials like salt and pepper, coffee and tea, sweeteners, etc. There were plenty of dishes, cups and utensils. - Beds were firm (which I understand is a preference), but difficult for me to sleep on. The linens weren't soft. - The lake was dry with docks sitting on land. There's an advisory for no boating, fishing and swimming. This would be a disappointment for guests who booked this home to enjoy the lake. This was not disclosed at the time of booking. I booked this vacation rental for 9 days and left after 6 mostly due to my lack of sleep. I own a vacation rental and believe attention to detail and guest experience are key. A little TLC would elevate this home. "

"We stayed at Happy Haven for 5 nights. My husband and three older boys and myself. We had the best time and the house had everything we needed. Kesley is by far the best host I have ever dealt with. She was so attentive and answered every question we had. She truly goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. The house has everything you need. Kitchen is stocked! She provided a Digital Guidebook that was super helpful. We used it quite a bit. This was our first time to the area. We will be back. We also loved that we were able to rent a boat from her company.
