The property is amazing. We had a great time hiking at Stoney Brook, Grimes Glenn, Conkles Gully, and Watkins Glenn. We enjoyed coming back to the cabin to cook on the fire and relax.
We absolutely loved our stay here. It’s exactly what we needed for the weekend! It was clean, cozy and had such gorgeous surroundings. Perfect place to come back to after a day of hiking!
Stayed with my daughter and grand daughter . We loved looking out at the waterfall, we saw a bald eagle a number of times, he flew right past the window! Very secluded and relaxing stay.
Private property with 2 amazing waterfalls. Cozy comfortable cabin great path for a hike undisturbed by others. Quiet, relaxing. If you want to get away - this is the place
The property was amazing with a beautiful view of a waterfall just outside your wall of windows. The cabin was very clean, well stocked and very cozy ! The fireplace was an added feature we enjoyed while playing cards at the large table !! Loved this cabin !!
All of us were pleased with the cabin and enjoyed the proximity to natural beauty and peace afforded by being away from the city.
There were people who passed by the property via the creek, but was otherwise secluded. Beautiful building and great access to the creek. Would absolutely stay here again.
The listing does not do this place justice. It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Nothing but the sounds of nature and the waterfall that’s right out your window. Very relaxing getaway.
The best cabin we’ve ever stayed at . Private and magical . The water falls are beautiful. The cabin is beautiful. The property is beautiful. We were sooooo sad to leave . Will book again for 100%
Great secluded location, the waterfall was great. Not that far from Letchworth and Stoney Brook state parks. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend staying there. The only issue I have and that's with all the VRBOs, I shouldn't have to take the trash to the street and tear down the beds and clean when I'm paying a hefty cleaning fee.
I went for a long weekend with a friend and we both were blown away by how perfect this cabin is! The location is lush and serene, the cabin itself is beautiful and well-equipped with every amenity one would need (minus wi-fi but that is a plus for a getaway!), and every detail inside is well-thought out and artfully decorated. We could just stay at the cabin the whole time and be very very happy, but we did also go to both Letchworth park and Stony Brook park, both are fantastic in its own right! We had a wonderful time!
If you want to experience how nice life was 25 years ago - this is the place . A true get away from all of todays electronics and back to being one with nature . Staying here will remind you whats important :)
The “Hemlock Hideaway” is a perfect retreat to just relax and escape the chaos of the city. Clean, remote, quiet and cozy. If you are looking to visit Letchworth State Park and then continue to Niagara Falls this is a fantastic spot to stop and stay. Ellis was quick to provide any answers to any questions. Thank you Zimmerman family for making your magical little cabin available to us! I thoroughly recommend!
we had a relaxing time. the cottage is beautiful. serene. of course, the only complaint is that there is no internet, not even a cellphone signal. It took a while to get use to not being connected. overall our stay was
pleasant and enjoyable. we
will
be back!
If you are looking for a truly unique experience then book the Hemlock Hideaway Cabin! Ellis was very responsive and our check-in process was smooth. We were 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 7). My kids loved playing in the creek and waterfalls. They found the zipline and that provided a lot of fun adventure for them.
Amazing views from the main room of the falls and you can hear the waterfalls from the loft at night.
We will gladly return if we are in the area.
Thank you for your hospitality!
We enjoyed our stay in many ways. The quiet setting with nature was relaxing. The camp site downstream allowed us to hike back to their falls. That was more accommodating for a couple in their 70's than adventuring down the spiral steps at the cabin. Improvements - replace the sofa with recliners that work. The left recliner is broken and was wired fast to keep it from reclining. My wife has some allergies and was bothered with itchy eyes. Not sure why.
Soon to be wife requested an "experience" this year as a gift. And found being informed on an old mill turned cabin. The location made our Christmas that much more special being our first real snowy white memory. Cabin is unique and a view to envy and remember. The provided supplies and items in the kitchen cabinets were a huge help even while bringing so much of our own already. Great fireplace and the available trails are amazing. Truly a great stay. Much mentioned like others is the sulphur smell only from hot water. Honestly a little shock at first but no harm overall. Big thank you to the host as renting a AWD, Jeep in our case was much needed to escape that grand incline! Will look forward to booking again,!
The cabin was clean and very welcoming. Just like it was described. Perfect, quiet and relaxing. The seclusion, privacy and sounds of the waterfslls were just what we needed for peace and quiet away from the daily hussle and bussle of busy life.
