Wonderful getaway
The property was exactly as described. We had everything we needed for a quiet getaway - kitchen had all the necessary tools, comfy bed and bathroom towels and the DVD and game selection was pretty good. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Little Hideaway
If you enjoy solitude, peace and quiet, water recreation of all sorts (to include listening to and viewing an 80-100-foot waterfall), fishing, paddling, and swimming this is the place for you. The property also offers plenty of hiking possibilities as well. It is rustic, so consider taking your 4X4 (or all-wheel drive vehicle) to get into and off the property. The house is in a fertile bottom between State Road 68 and the Kentucky River on Palisades Road, so as you can imagine it is heavily wooded and full of Nature’s adventures. There are plenty of opportunities for naturalist and outdoor types. And if the weather is unagreeable, like it was for my son and I, there are so many other options to keep you interested in the area and free of boredom. We visited High Bridge, Kentucky home of our Nation’s Highest train bridge, Kentucky Lock & Dam #7, Shaker Town & Shaker Landing, Asbury College in Wilmore, Fort Harrod in Harrodsburg, and many other small towns and communities scattered all around. Our experiences were well-rounded, interesting, wholesome and totally enjoyable. The home is well appointed, warm and comfortable, and it covers of your basic needs aside from groceries, and they are an easy drive away by just a few miles. Finally, I found the kitchen to be very well equipped despite it’s size, as we cooked most of our meals from scratch; everything homemade.

Tranquility in Kentucky
The setting of this property was superb. It was an ideal little retreat in a quiet area with a beautiful view of the Kentucky river from the back porch and plenty of wildlife. I had a buck walk through the backyard while I was sitting on the porch!
