Presidential Motel

"This motel was a huge surprise. Someone has clearly given the amenities, rooms and services a lot of thought. It was comparable to a high end hotel. The rooms are very modern clean and well appointed. And the gym is actually far more well equipped than much pricier hotels in capital cities with hundreds of guests. Laundry and BBQ facilities were reliable and clean. Rarely have I been in a hotel or motel where I haven't seen something and thought "Yeah... alright but I would have done things differently" But here I have no notes. It was a delightful stay and regretably we were only there for one night. Would highly recommend it for anyone staying or travelling through Mount Gambier."

"Would recommend all dog owners travelling to Mount Gambier looking for pet friendly accommodation don't go past Kelpie or Collie Cottages as the best value for money available, Russell and Pauline understand difficulties travelling with pets and are most help full and bend over backwards to assist, the cottages are first class."

"It is always good to see our little toy poodle welcomed when we go "walkabout". In this case, the welcome translated into a very comfortable dog corner and Kimba was actually delighted to adopt the bedding which he thought we should take with us; I explained he would find it when we come back in November.The cabin is very comfortable: the sofa was cosy, the kitchen provided a very generous breakfast with eggs, fruit, bread, jams, butter and bread. I especially appreciated the roomy, clean, modern bathroom although I could not make use of the spa since due to my age extracted me out of it would not be easy nevertheless it was very tempting.The property is also a maremma dogs and alpacas sanctuary. Seven dogs, a great crowd of chooks and turkeys are absolutely delightfull. Of course I would recommend the place to anybody: the hosts are kind, helpful and easy going."

"The cottage was exactly as described, with a fully fenced yard that was perfect for our dog, and the dog beds provided were a nice extra touch. The bed was very comfortable, and the reverse-cycle air conditioning kept us nice and warm on some chilly nights. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re near Mount Gambier!"
