"Dirty rooms and hallways. Beds have been used before and sheets not changed. You walk down the hallways and the doors to the bedrooms are wide open with hords of men hanging out and smoking. I really think this is a rent by the hour kind of hotel. There is a spa downstairs for 25 yuan which is separate from the hotel. That part is clean and delightful. You can just pay for that, shower and be on your way. Not worth spending the night in Datong. It is an industrial city."

"The staff did not speak English, so it was difficult to communicate with them. The carpeting in the room was filthy. The air conditioning didn't work and the room was very stuffy. The window didn't open wide enough to get any kind of a breeze in the room. The mattress was quite hard as were the pillows. I was very disappointed in the accommodations."
