Our family of 5 had more than enough room. The place is clean and nicely decorated. We spent all our time on the beach and loved how close we were to the water. Be sure to bring your own beach chairs, canopy/umbrella, toys, etc.

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful property. Right on the beach. Had a problem with the dryer so we called it in and the office responded promptly. They were very nice. We were there during off season so we met many of the people who live there year round and they were all so friendly and we had a great week hanging out with them. We also took a charter with Fear Knot and he was really knowledgeable, friendly, and just all around a great guy. Highly recommended

Close as it gets to to the water.

The house was very accurate to the listing. Pics are accurate. The beach and water could not be closer. We had a super quiet and nice stay. My brother and I were there fishing. The place was clean but they cleaned the fridge with bleach which was a little off putting but i would recommend staying here.

Perfect Beach House!

The house was fantastic! We loved everything about it (except the stairs - lol)! The kitchen appliances are new and worked great. I would recommend bring stuff for small waves, snorkeling, fishing and seeing wildlife. We rented a paddle board from Sea Dog Rentals. They delivered! We went to the USS Alabama in mobile, took the dauphin tour at the marina, walked around the fort and went to the aquarium. Lots to do on the island. Overall fantastic and super fun for the family.

Amazing ocean views + beach access

Second time staying at this house with our family of 4. The owners upgraded the outdoor furniture to Polywood Adirondacks for ultimate relaxation on the back deck. Upgraded new grill and new oven. We come here to soak in the ocean sound and view. Tip for those who have never been to the island. We bring all of our food with us, premade dinners, our own spices, coffee ECT. The island is limited on restaurants and there is just 1 small convenience store. Plan for that in advance and you will have a great visit.

Great house bad location:

We loved that the house was so close to the beach. We also knew that there was a public beach next to us. The problem was that people would set up behind the house and if we didnt put our chairs out at 6am., we would not be able to enjoy the ocean. I was informed there was nothing that could be done unless they were on our deck. Basically you are paying for the convince of getting to walk out onto the beach but not privacy. I just wished that honest rewiews would have been posted so i could have made different choices. House was nice and clean but not what i expected.

Great location

Midsummer Solstice was a great property. It does have some wear and tear that is noticeable, but we expected that from a beach rental. It is in a fantastic location and the beach was never crowded, even though you are right next to a public beach. The property was clean upon our arrival. However, upon opening the door, we noticed an extremely pungent odor of rotting fish that permeated the entire house. Every time the air conditioner would kick on, the fishy odor would waft through the house. Thankfully, we spent most of our time outside. The other issue we had was with the sound monitoring. While we certainly understand the need for sound monitoring, the devices emit a terribly annoying dripping sound. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it. This drip sound is in every room and will drive you crazy to the point that you cannot sleep. We would suggest these annoying devices be replaced by some kind of device that doesn't make any sound! Making sure your guests aren't throwing wild parties is one thing, making sure your guests cannot get a good night's sleep because of your monitoring devices is another. Some other small issues included: no remotes that actually worked on the blu ray player making it worthless, very limited included supplies like dishwasher detergent and toilet paper, and no other amenities like beach towels or beach chairs included. These were small inconveniences and did not impact our stay very much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property.

The location was perfect. Woke up to the waves and dolphins. East to run back to the house if something was forgotten. The dryer was damaged and is a fire hazard. It destroyed out towels (the first load of laundry we did at the house). Then the rusty wires on the back deck ruined the items we hung dry the rest of the week. The front deck railings are all wobbly and one is not connected to the top railing. The air conditioner stopped for a few hours but started working again by the time maintenance arrived.

AMAZING
