Waterfront on Spanish Bay, Pier, close to beaches! - At Ease
At Ease is a large 3-bedroom bayfront beach house. It overlooks Spanish Bay on the East End of Dauphin Island. The property is a mile from the Sea Lab, Fort Gaines, the Audubon Sanctuary and only 1.4 miles to the very secluded East End Public Beach. You may also enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, and crabbing right from your private dock on Spanish Bay.
The living room has 2-story bay windows that will glisten in the sunsets you're sure to enjoy. It is well-appointed and has been an exclusive private second residence until 2023.
The main bedroom overlooks Spanish Bay. In addition to 3 traditional bedrooms, the home also has a large loft with two additional beds and a sleeper sofa.
The house is connected by a boardwalk to its own private pier. Bring your boat or just hang out. You are sure to find this to be a special getaway.
The boat lift is not available for use. You can tie off to the pier, however, boats 21' or less shouldn't have any issues.
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following: 1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay. 2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time. 3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking. 4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance. 5. This property does not allow weddings or parties. 6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am. 7. Start dishes and linens before departure. 8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night. 9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 20 lb max size, 2-Pet Maximum Limit - $100 pet fee per dog applies.

This house has a beautiful view of the bay. The location was nice being just a couple of minutes away from the east beach. It was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood.
Great location. We were able to bike to several beaches, the bakery in the morning, and Shipmans for fish for dinner. We brought our kayak and were able to kayak from the dock to Little Dauphin Island, it was beautiful and we had it all to our selves. Saw lots of wildlife including crabs and stingrays.
The location couldn’t have been more perfect. The kids fished and caught crab right at the dock. We were able to get our 25’ boat in/out easily. Kitchen had plenty of pots and pans to cook with. We enjoyed the view and being able to watch the kids on the dock from the living room. It was a 10/10 experience for us.
This stay was much nicer than our first stay on the island 3 weeks ago! The house was nice with everything working and clean with plenty of towels and linens. The air and toilets worked well and the grass was cut. The garbage can was full at the road when we arrived and stayed that way our entire stay. We kept garbage inside tied up until we left and put it by the van at the street that was still full.
The hammock was broken when we arrived but that didn’t ruin our time. I do feel like the side of the dock that needs repairing is a risk, however.
All in all, it was a great time.
We ahd a fantastic time exploring the island and enjoying the pier and the wonderful neghborhood. The licing room is bery large and perfect for a family.
The location was great the house was in good condition but but had roach issues and the appliances were a little out dated but was a good overall stay.
First got there seemed like the house was shut up for the season,not aired out. Refrigerator had strong fish smell. Appliances could stand to be updated. Maintenace on yard and dock. But overall we had a good stay.

House looked like the owners just left. Clothes left in dresser, food in pantry, no organization to cooking utensils and very limited. No power or water at dock, which is why I rented the house. Dock needs repair. Water stayed under the house our entire visit. Coffee pot missing, fan in guest bed needs replacing. The AC work well though. Not much to compliment unfortunately. I would not recommend the property in the future. I should have asked for a partial refund, due to dock condition alone. I just figured it was not worth the energy to try.
