The buffet part. Short staff. Nit easy to find seats. Lots of reservation for a small place. Should be that reservation good for until 15 mins if no show open it up to other guests.
Food is so so. Repeating. In the Philippines, we have alk kinds of yummi breakfast food. Should have variety and mire healthy choices like vegetables - pinakbet, bisaya otan, etc. note less salt or no salt should be the mind of the chef. Thank you
Considering how old the hotel is, and the renovations done, most importantly the friendly staff, I would make this my go to hotel each time I visit Davao City.

I don’t know why this hotel doesn’t get better reviews. Yes, it’s older and yes, the rooms might smell a little bit but it’s a nice classical hotel with a good breakfast, Great location and big rooms.

Overall, value for money. Only comment is the shower curtain needs to be properly installed. So high that the water bounces off onto the dry area of the bathroom. Messy and dangerous because the wet floor becomes slippery. The curtain should touch the floor or at least a few millimeters above it. A hand towel bar won’t hurt either.

Overall our stay was pretty good.
My only complaint is that the Internet is VERY Poor to Non existing in the room (4th Floor)
So to get anything done on the internet required sitting in the lobby or coffee shop.
On a good note the coffee shop was pretty comfortable.

It’s an older hotel, it’s understood but the safe was not working and no hot water. Supervisors were informed on both and promised to fix. Four nights there and never saw them. Breakfast buffet food was ok but food was not replaced when they run out. It was a constant battle trying to get them to bring fresh dishes. Took 25 minutes to get bacon after it ran out. Don’t go to breakfast after 9am, you’ll only get the leftovers! It seemed the working staff was trying but the kitchen personnel were not. I put this on supervision/management, not the employees. It is management job to insure coordination between employees.

The property is admittedly under rennovation. The breakfast buffet was open at 6 but not fully set uo. By 7 it was better. When i asked for simple things like refill of empty pans, butter, syrup, jam, coffee, egg station...just shoulder shrugs from most of the staff.seems key people di not show up on time perhaps
The room is ok.But the “bathroom” is worst. The “hot & cold” shower is NOT working and “Shower” knob control is NOT functioning well..You have to keep holding with your other hand the “Knob control” so the water will keep flowing from the shower (On top) , otherwise it will transfer to the “Faucet” in the bath tub😞😞..
It was so bad... no AC no hot water basic.. bad choice

We'll visit again
We stayed here last year and again last week and we'll probably stay there again in future. The rooms are comfortable, but could be cleaner. The bathrooms are functional, but are due for a refresh. One feature we really enjoy is the breakfast. Rudy is TOP NOTCH with customer service. I think he's dining manager.
