"The cabin is older but updated and while not brand new, it offers plenty of comfort and charm. The host was incredibly responsive, had the cabin well-stocked with essentials, and made our stay perfect. The mountaintop views of Carter’s Lake and the dam were breathtaking. We loved the easy-to-use hot tub and cozy fireplace during five days of rain and chilly weather. The well-equipped kitchen made eating in a breeze. The driveway is a little steep but very accessible for small SUVs or cars with higher clearance. We can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you for sharing your cabin and the wonderful vacation!!"

"The train every two hours was a bit much. But the blackout curtains helped a lot. The Convenience was incredible. Shout out to Q at Waggles, an establishment in the building. "

"We stayed for one night in a king business suite. The sitting area was large and the sleeping area was, too. The bed was comfortable and they had great pillows. The bathroom was ok. The sink and vanity were not for short people, it was high. The tub did not have a grab bar in it. I probably should have booked an accessible room. My 89 yr old mother doesn’t use a wheelchair, but the stability of a grab bar in the shower works wonders. The breakfast food was actually very good. The staff were great. From check in, the cleaning folks, the dining area folks, all were hospitable in their demeanor. I would certainly recommend this hotel. It was comfortable, clean, great staff, good breakfast. It’s a no frills spot. There was an indoor pool and workout room, which we did not use. "
