Great price, beautiful place

We enjoyed our stay in Canaan Valley! The kids enjoyed the pool, mini golf, game room, and the jacuzzi tub. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to enjoy the mountains.

Comfortable rooms for family vacation. We arrived late in the day, after office hours. We were nervous about checking in but found detailed instructions. All turned out ok. Only surprise was the lack of dining options late Sunday evening. Should we know in advance, we could bring groceries.

Repeat trip well worth it

Thoroughly enjoyed the second stay for what is becoming an annual trip to West Virginia to ski at Timberline and Canaan Valley. Appreciate the snow clearing efforts. The fireplace with a thermostat is great!

The stay in this condo was good. It is close to the Timberline resourt, to White grass trail and to the lodge. Nice location.

Loved the area

If you like the outdoors and appreciate small town shops and restaurants, Canaan Valley area is terrific. The condo we rented was a perfect home base for a three day Fall adventure that included Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods, the Canaan Valley Preserve, Blackwater Falls Park and the towns of Davis and Thomas. We enjoyed two of the small restaurants in Davis and the glass blower artisan.

I loved the quiet during March when we stayed. The front office staff were amazing! The fireplace was awesome too! The only “issue” was the remote control wasn’t working right. I’ll definitely go back

Quiet and convenient to area resorts

The condo is a bit outdated in style/furniture but very clean and comfy. Plenty of space in the condo, plenty of parking space. I did not utilize resort amenities but the mini golf course looked nice. I was thankful I able to bring my dog, and lots of green space for her. I would definitely stay again, we love this area!

Great place to stay!

This is clearly a timeshare-ish place. We had an amazing stay. We are not owners and booked via VRBO. The check in process took 2 minutes. The pools and play area are fantastic! There was a grill and hot tub directly behind our condo. I would absolutely boom again!

Clean, no frills accommodations close to slopes & pizza shop. Basic needs met. 1980s decor. Gas fireplace is nice. Pet friendly so expect to find some pet hair in your socks. Very reasonably priced.

Great set up and location for ski days at Timberline

The condo at Land of Canaan was set up perfectly for a short stay to ski at Timberline. The foyer was great for the ski gear. Having a gas fireplace with a thermostat was wonderful. Since it snowed, the snow removal efforts were impressive. I would return again.

Great location

The condo was very nice and location was great. The fireplace wouldn’t work, but maintenance came right away, the next day. The downstairs tv’s directions are incorrect. The light in the mud room needs to be replaced, there were a few hairs in the downstairs shower, ugh, rest of the place was nice and clean. The price was very reasonable.

Ski trip

First, you can't beat the location! We came to go skiing at Canaan and it was so nice to have a 3 minute drive to the ski resort. The place is very spacious, simple, quaint, and perfect for our snow vacation. ❄️ I loved the gas fireplace and how each room had its own temperature control. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was so cozy to look out the windows with the snow and sip our coffee by the fireplace. We checked out the game room and had a blast playing in there! Such a great little spot and the location can't be beat!

Clean & Good Location, But...a Few Things to Know

Good property, though not the one from the pictures. Plenty of amenities, especially if you have kids with you! The good things: clean and located near a lot to do. The not-as-good: The wifi mentioned in the listing is not free (note the word surcharge in the listing) and the hot tub in the listing is usable by the whole Land of Canaan (not a personal one in your condo). We could hear our neighbors quite well. Also a $100 pet fee. Not a bad place, but I doubt we will return.

Nice but listing misleading

We did not get the condo that was pictured in the booking. It was ok but not as nice as pictured. The AC is 3 window air conditioners. It was mostly adequate. The place is nicely stocked. We enjoyed the outdoor pool. The location is nice. Check in is in person and you have to fill out a paper form and pick up a key. The lady was not friendly or very helpful. Wi-Fi is $10 extra for 24hr. The cons were just irritating enough, I am not sure I would stay again.

Tips: Make sure fireplace works, indoor pool open only when office is, great putt putt so bring golf gear, pucs seem pricate but just a couple of outdoor hot tubs...might wanna be close to one if into it... Good staff. Def a spacious bi-level well equipped condo and great value in a beautiful spot on this rock. Kitchen well stocked. Needs power washing and no fireplace action in 2 units despite pilot on when we tried (Thanksgiving sucked without fireplace and maintenance "off" - think they're about saving gas money personally)...brings down your vibe so 4 of an otherwise 5 star.
