Lakeside Retreat Lake Lanier Book now for winter and spring!

Welcome to Dawsonville and one of North Georgia’s most intriguing locations, Lake Lanier. Here you will enjoy beautiful North Georgia mountains, vineyards, outlet shopping, hiking trails, etc. Only an hour north of Atlanta. This quaint studio cottage has all you need for a perfect getaway.
You will enjoy fully furnished nights with a plush king size bed, fully stocked chef’s kitchen, and a custom designed master bath with a stand-up shower and a beautiful air-bath tub. Comfortably heated floors are included for colder nights and a gas firepit table on the deck.. On warmer evenings you will enjoy sitting on the outdoor porch, overlooking the tranquil garden of evergreens or on the newly added side deck with views of Lake Lanier.(Please know that we are on the lake, but we do not have a dock.)
This will be a perfect alternative to a hotel stay for you while visiting Lake Lanier, North Georgia mountains, wineries, or Dahlonega. We live right around the corner on the lake with a two story dock complete with lounge chairs on top. We also have two kayaks and a paddle board that are available with access to the lake from our dock. You are more than welcome to hang out on our dock and fish/swim. I also have parking for a boat and you’re welcome to keep it at my dock while you are there. Donna went above and beyond throughout our stay at the lake side home. There was a fridge stocked up with breakfast items and drinks, as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom was filled with all necessities and it also had a jetted tub. The Wi-Fi was excellent speed technology in every room was so cool. Everything was easy to use because there was instruction to everything. We had a blast using the grill outside. There was a binder with instructions on how to check out, amenities around us outdoor activities. Everything that we could need to expand our stay on the area. DoorDash did not find it Complicated to find the home when we had deliveries, Donna went above and beyond. I will definatly be returning!!!!

This was the best place I have ever booked, it stood out over every single place I have ever stayed. My husband and I were in town for a family wedding in Dawsonville, and we had several other family members who did not have as excellent of an experience as we did. Our room was spotlessly clean, but also so warm and inviting, and just perfect. Donna was the best host. She had messaged us before our stay to see what we liked to drink, eat, snack on, and she had everything and more than we asked for available. We were just looking for quiet, cozy and nature, and we got that and more. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and most definitely will stay there again when we need to visit family in the Atlanta area.

What a beautiful little house! We just loved staying there. We were impressed with all the extra little touches that Donna went to that made our stay so memorable. And such a nice woodsy neighborhood with views down to the lake. We will definitely be looking for any excuse to come back…soon!!

What a little gem! We enjoyed peace and quiet and had a lovely rest at the Lakeside Retreat. We were spoiled by our host Donna who is very caring and her place were fully stock with everything you need. It was very clean and spacious for a couple to enjoy a quick get away for a week or weekend. Donna we will be back, thank you very much for checking on us often to make sure we have what we needed. We will definitely book the Lakeside Retreat again.

We have never felt so welcomed as we did here. The host exceeded every need and want. The space was perfect - clean, warm decor ( loved the birds and words of encouragement!), comfortable bed, huge shower, fluffy towels, bathrobes and a better stocked fridge than i have at home. Our anniversary celebration was a smashing success. Donna communicated clearly and even let us visit her home's pier to fish. She is a #1 Host!! The location is close to anything you need - restaurants, groceries and great lake views. Highly recommend to anyone. We would love to return.

Our stay was wonderful! The hospitality shown by the owner was exceptional and the effort she put in to make us feel welcomed is unmatched!! The home was adorable and very comfortable and clean! Best VRBO rental ever!

Our cottage was as lovely as it looked in the photos. It was comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed, with our comfort in mind. The refrigerator was well stocked (and even included the wine of my choice!), and there were fluffy, soft robes provided. Donna spared no detail to insure our comfort and enjoyment.

Gorgeous & Relaxing Getaway

We felt so welcomed when we stayed here! The fridge was well stocked. It was very tastefully decorated and we felt at peace in this home. The furnishings are nice and the bed was comfortable! It’s a nice quiet neighborhood too! The perfect little retreat! Would 100% recommend and stay here again!

Welcoming Cottage

The VRBO owner is welcoming and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of stocked snacks, drinks, and a great variety of Keurig coffee flavors. The cottage is just the right size for two. Nice bathroom, kitchen and comfortable bed. The location at the lake is scenic and Gainesville and Dahlonega are not far away.

Our stay was impeccable. Donna went above and beyond in every facet of our stay. The accommodations were beautifully decorated and just perfect. Donna went above and beyond with every detail from snacks, coffee, creamer, drinks, desserts, etc. In addition, she also was extremely helpful with advice about the area. Beautiful Property, Great Hospitality!

This property was just as cute as the pictures. The cabin was spotless and well maintained, the fridge was filled with all of the necessities and then some - and Donna even grabbed a few of our favorite snacks and beverages, a very welcoming touch. Donna's hospitality is top notch, we will be back!

Second time, just as excellent as first

Ms Donna did not disappoint again. Second time to stay here for our little Christmas get-a-way…and will not be our last!
