First time going to Big Canoe and it didn’t disappoint. The area has so much to do for the whole family and the house was a great place to relax and enjoy the view and take advantage of all the games the house has. Great place!
We had an amazing family vacation! The pictures truly don’t do justice to how beautiful and comfortable this home is. With three floors and bedrooms on each level, it’s perfect for a large family to enjoy both togetherness and privacy. The beds and sofas were incredibly comfortable, and the sunlight streaming through the large living room windows was absolutely beautiful. We especially loved the screened porch off the master bedroom. The house was impeccable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Phil was so welcoming as well—thank you for a wonderful stay!
My family and I spent an uneventful week at this beautiful cabin. Check-in was a breeze, the house was as described, with no detail being ignored. The home has everything you'll need from a toothpick to a washer/dryer (just bring groceries). The home is close to walking trails, waterfalls and neighboring towns such as Helen, Dahlonega, Jasper, etc. We enjoyed our Christmas getaway and the fact that each bedroom had it's, own bath and that there are 2 living areas to stretch. Owner was swift to answer any questions and concerns, can't wait to return.
The house is spacious and beautiful with fabulous views. We had everything we needed to keep us busy and the Big Canoe community has tons of extras that everyone was able to enjoy. The host was very friendly and responsive. Had a slight problem with the coded door lock, but the host quickly solved the problem (even though it was very late). We made some wonderful memories with the family for Thanksgiving. I definitely recommend this house and would stay here again!
Wonderful, relaxing stay had by all. Perfect home for a family with kids or family gathering to make those special memories. Kids enjoyed the video games and movie selection. You would think you were at “Blockbuster Video”. Wish we had one more day just to stay at the home and enjoy the pool table, foosball and hot tub more. The kids enjoyed the game competition with the foosball and pool table.
Comfortable king size beds in each bedroom and the whole home is beautifully decorated and so clean and fresh. Everyone was able to have their own private space when needed or wanted.
Only recommendation that I have is do not try going up the driveway hill if it is raining hard and backing down and turning your right wheel off the driveway pavement - you may get stuck….which happened to me but was able to have A and T towing, which is local, pull me out of my predicament. Better to come into the property from the south side instead of north.
Look forward to returning to this beautiful home. The host, Phil, is very responsive to any questions you may have. Such a delight to interact with. You will not be disappointed.
This house checked all the boxes! Plenty of space, comfortable beds, game room, hot tub, stocked kitchen, easy check in and check out, and beautiful view! Our family of 6 enjoyed our Thanksgiving week.
We had the best time at stargazer lodge , Phil the owner answered any questions promptly. They had everything we needed for our stay. We will for sure be back. Clean comfortable and very relaxing 😌 thank you Phil 👍👍
Our family stayed at this beautiful home from July 1-8. We were in town for a baseball tournament about an hour from the house at Lakepoint. Knowing our schedule would be crazy and exhausting, we wanted to have a home base that was not only spacious and accommodating for downtime, but also somewhere we could enjoy the scenery and have easy access to outdoor nature activities. Big Canoe offers all of that and more! The home itself was exactly as advertised. It was spotless, well equipped and well decorated. The couches are huge and comfy, as was all furniture in the common areas. The kids loved having two different areas with big tv’s so they could each hook up their gaming systems. The pin ball machine and pool table got plenty of use as well. All four bedrooms have king size beds, which is a great idea bc it prevents arguing over who gets what room. All of the beds were very comfortable. We woke up on our first morning in the home to the top floor A/C not cooling. This ended up being a non-issue bc I contacted Phil, the owner, who responded to me immediately. After explaining the situation, he contacted A/C companies until he found one that could come out in a timely manner. Also, after making sure we were ok with it, he drove over an hour to the home to meet the A/C repair guy and stuck with him until the job was complete. We were extremely impressed with and greatly appreciated his communication and action. We will book this home again in the future!
We had a great stay at the Stargazer. Everything was excellent and extremely clean house. The host was quick to respond to questions and made the whole process simple. We will definitely rent again if we return to Big Canoe.
