LADY MARMALADE - Daylesford

Lady Marmalade is a super cosy, luxury retreat with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & views across to the Daylesford Convent & Wombat Hill. Main street's restaurants, cafes, bars & shops are a 5-7 minute walk away while Lake Daylesford is 10-12 minutes.

She has an oversized en-suite with stand-alone spa & Aurora Day Spa products. A log fire, A/C, ducted heating, well equipped country kitchen, free WiFi, Bluetooth sound system, Streaming, large screen TV, record player, vinyls & board games to play.

Set amongst a large peaceful garden the cascading block has many parts to enjoy. The garden evolves through the seasons and the balcony faces North and East with views across to Wombat Hill. Perfect for watching the birdlife fly over and the incredible stars at night. The side covered decking is protected from the elements and is home to an outdoor lounge setting lit with festoon lighting and the gassed up BBQ.

Lady Marmalade is comfortable all year round. Daylesford can experience the extreme weather and so the Lady is equipped with double glazed windows and doors, ducted heating throughout and a log fire to get all cuddly with. There are A/C's in each bedroom and the main living area for the warmer months.

Each bedroom can be configured to 1 King Bed or 2 Singles. This gives our home flexibility to accommodate four single people or 2 couples or a combination. Please let us know when you book so we can prepare the rooms to your needs. The first bedroom has a brand new en-suite (which was recently built from the third bedroom, so it is huge). The en-suite has a 12 jet stand alone spa, double vanity, drenching & powerful rain shower and toilet. The second bathroom has been built in the last 5 years and has a large powerful shower, vanity and separate toilet. We use Aurora Day Spa products in both bathrooms.

All linens and towels are provided for your comfort.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with all the implements, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils needed (even a cocktail shaker and martini glasses). Our favourite recipe books and good knives (with sharpener) for the more serious cooks out there. We have a small pantry with essentials like S & P, some herbs, spices, spreads, oil and sauces as well as a welcome surprise or two. A range of loose leaf organic teas and Nespresso coffee machine & pods are also supplied. Of course we have a dishwasher - who wants to do dishes when they are away?

The round dining table has seating for four which looks out to Wombat Hill. The living area was built to be cosy. Whether it be playing board games at the coffee table while sitting on cushions or watching the 50 inch TV which swivels to suit the room. The TV is hooked into the internet and Lady Marmalade has Netflix, Stan, Disney, HayU & Prime streaming accounts (how modern). We have Chromecast for those wanting to stream their own programs from their device. The Yamaha sound bar is wifi and Bluetooth enabled so you can stream all your own music and it makes any movie sound incredible. Or you can go "old-school" and relax to our eclectic vinyl collection of oldies. Free NBN Wifi is available for guests. The log fire is easy to start and maintain and is perfect for the colder months.

We are dog lovers. Our own dogs, Cooper and Chops love Lady Marmalade and so we have created our home to welcome well behaved dogs and owners. The home is not suited to dogs over 15 kilos (sorry our garden and floor boards can't cope). The backyard is dog proof with secure gates. We ask you to follow our house rules concerning your fur babies.

The garden is our pride and joy. Guests are welcome to pick and use our edible garden treats while they are with us.

Thank you to host James for an amazing stay! The house was immaculate, 10 Star in a 5 Star world :) Lovely views and a wonderful quiet location a few minutes stroll to the main street with cafes and restaurants. Lots of helpful information provided by the hosts to make the most of your stay. Would definitely recommend and I look forward to staying again soon.

Lady Marmalade provides all that you could wish for in a short-stay let. The house is very well maintained and stylishly presented. It was warm and cosy during our mid-winter stay but would also be very comfortable in summer, given its AC. The kitchen had all the appliances and equipment that you could need. Overall an exceptional place to stay in Daylesford.

After spending a couple of nights with daughter in Melbourne we booked 3 nights in Daylesford to break our drive home to Adelaide! It was perfect. So relaxing and as we are very particular, Lady Marmalade was faultless and exactly what we wanted. Beautifully appointed. Luxurious beds, deluxe bathrooms and the ultra lush towels were a dream! The kitchen was perfectly appointed and everything we needed was at our fingertips! And then there is the fastidiously manicured garden. It was all truly a wonderful getaway. Thank you James

Stayed 5 nights during a warm December week. Absolutely loved the cottage garden with a variety of shade trees, flowers and grass areas to enjoy. Perfect location - just a very short walk to Daylesford centre. The house has been renovated with nothing lacking. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

Delivered what it promised for a getaway few days - very comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms with a great bath to relax in, lovely warm fire and comfy sofa, great kitchen and the best marmalade I have ever tasted! This is a beautifully decorated, well appointed luxurious home. No thought had been spared to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. The couch very cosy and big. We especially enjoyed the fully fenced yard for my little dog - who loved running around. It was very warm and the fireplace supplies were well equipped, perfect for winter. I am keen to come back in summer and enjoy the outdoor spaces more.

This property earned an A+. Clean, delightful appointments, comfy beds, and a gorgeous garden setting. We appreciated the treats basket. Loved the wood fire which burned warmly as we enjoyed movies and a bag of popcorn. Ideal for the dog owner too. Its proximity to town and regional attractions is excellent. Loved the house. Very well equipped, had everything you would need. Very comfortable beds. Warm and welcoming. Lovely north facing deck with a view which would be great to use in warmer weather. Outside sitting area very attractive with lighting and a BBQ. Pretty garden if a little overgrown in parts! Highly recommended.

This property makes you feel welcome from the moment you open the door (actually communication prior does too). Lovely welcome basket and witty guide to the property and area made us smile. Decor is gorgeous, bathrooms are huge as is the bedding, great kitchen and cosy living area. All amenities are the highest quality. The garden is gorgeous and our fur baby had a blast will all the areas to explore. Location is spot on to wander up to the main Street. The area is stunning and so relaxing. Having the fire on and settling in was bliss. You will not be disappointed if you book, we will definitely be booking again

Wonderful surprise, everything you needed was provided, very spacious and comfortable, the information provided made you laugh, especially the use of the spa bath, and the hint not to use the laundry shoot. The garden and a choice of out door seatings offered privacy and spectacular views. The morning sunrise was well worth the early morning wake up. Property is well located to the town. All in all we had a fantastic 4 days.

We stayed just two nights but could have stayed for weeks. The lovely home is very modern inside and beautifully detailed. The house has EVERYTHING you could want including fully detailed bathrooms. The master bedroom ensuite is huge even better than you would expect in a five star hotel. The kitchen is large and extremely well stocked (not food) with cupboards with all the crockery and electrical items you could want. Nothing was missing for a family to move in and start living. Immaculately looked after, a real gem.
