"We stay at this hotel almost every time that we visit our son. He lives in Orlando, but we enjoy the beach too so we get the best of both worlds! The hotel is a little dated, but they had made some improvements since our last stay. The rooms now have a tile floor instead of carpet. We really appreciated that because the carpet tends to trap moisture (and sand) and that usually gave it a musty smell. So, thumbs up for the flooring upgrade! We were disappointed that the beach access wasn't available from the pool area as it has been in the past. But this was due to the early Fall hurricane last year that took out the concrete steps. Many other hotels had experienced the same issue. The plus to this was that there is a beach access drive right next to the hotel so we didn't have to go far to go down there. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We really appreciate that it is a No Smoking facility. Even though the balcony below us were smoking weed on their balcony which made it impossible for us to enjoy our balcony that evening. We did report it to the very nice young man at the front desk when we were checking out and we were told that it would be addressed. "
