Cozy Waterfront Cottage

Waterfront cottage located on Tangier Sound. Sleeps 6; 1 Bedroom with queen size bed, 1 Bath with walk in shower, Kitchen, Living Room with pull out sofa, Spacious Sun Room with pull out sofa, Large open deck, with private pier. Ground level deck at entrance. Queen size bed in bedroom and two queen size pull out sofa's. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, appliances (coffee pot, slow cooker, toaster, blender, mixer, microwave). Dining table in the spacious sun room with an abundance of windows to view Tangier Sound. Enjoy fishing and crabbing directly off the pier and enjoy drinks and dinner on the spacious open deck. 2 miles from public boat ramp and public beach....so bring your boat, kayak, and or canoe.

Beautiful Bay stay

The cottage was just as described, but we were not expecting the beauty and calm of the bay. The eagles, ospreys and fish jumping were highlights. We thought we would explore the area but could not leave the view

Weekend Away

Our three night stay at the Cottage was a peaceful quite time on the bay. We enjoyed the interesting beach decorations in the Cottage and the wonderful view of the bay. Our stay was everything we hoped for.

Amazing sunsets

This property is one of the best places to relax and take in the sunset views. The public beach is a quick 5 minute drive. Also a nice place to relax, soak in the sun, play in the water and collect sea glass.

Dream Cottage

We had such a wonderful stay. The location was perfect and the weather cooperated. Each day was special. The host was thoughtful, all our needs were anticipated. The view across Tangier Sound was spectacular, especially at sunset. We saw so much wildlife including butterflies, osprey, cormorants and sea eagles. The cottage was everything we dreamed of.

Chesapeake Travels

The property was just as listed. We traveled up and down the East shore and enjoyed relaxing at the cottage watching the bay in the evening. Didn’t bring fishing gear and now I regret it. The dock was so inviting. If I ever get a chance to return, this will be my first choice- Dennis

My son and I have been enjoying fishing and crabbing for 16 years together. This year was special and actually stayed here last year because of the clean house, the great location and the pier. I'm glad we came back this year.

Wonderful time

We had a great time, The fishing and crabbing was very good. The people that live next door was very very nice and helpful. and Debbie the owner was also very nice. We can't wait to go back, so happy we found this place. If you go there you will love it.

Amazing place!

Such a beautiful little cottage in a very quiet and remote area. Loved the dock and crabbing was great! The neighbors were so nice, even had traps baited with crabs in them when we arrived. Debbie’s got everything you need and more. Definitely will be back again

Relaxing getaway

We had the loveliest time at this peaceful bay side cottage celebrating our anniversay. The house was clean, area was quiet and pretty much away from everything. Relaxing on the deck and lounging on the private dock gave us some much needed R&R! We had a bald eagle hanging out with us for a few days as well!

Lovely Cottage at the Shore!

Nice enough to just stay at the cottage the entire time. Soooo relaxing! However we did enjoy going on a cruise from Crisfield to historic, Smith Island, tour and lunch there and back again. Crisfield itself is full of history and great restaurants. We will go back again!

Secluded serenity

After careful research, we booked this place for my husband's 60th bday as he wanted easy access for pier fishing. It checked all the boxes for location, amenities and pricing. The owner was very informative and responsive. The only reason for 4 stars for cleanliness is because the previous guests had left the doors and screens open and there were a lot of flies. So pay it forward for the next guests and keep it all contained. It was truly a lovely place!

Tangier Sound WOW!!

We loved being here. The view of the Sound was so peaceful; sunsets beautiful. Enjoyed the breezes. Enjoyed exploring the surroundings. We are planning on returning next year!! So cozy and comfortable.

Awesome weekend

Very clean , stocked and cozy. Our host thought of everything. The deck and dock are just special to enjoy. The area is very quiet and the locals are nice. This is rental is a keeper. We will be returning.

Peaceful holiday weekend

Such a wonderful home and idyllic setting. We enjoyed sitting on the private pier every morning with our coffee and watching the sunset in the evenings. The house itself was super comfy and fully stocked. Debbie was a wonderful communicator and host and made our stay even better with her helpful tips and suggestions. sweet cottage on the sound

We had a great stay at the cottage on Tangier Sound. It was so quiet and restful. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped for our needs. Loved sitting on the deck overlooking the water every day. My husband successfully crabbed from the private dock, too. We did make trips to Crisfield, Smith Island, and Chincoteague State Park, VA. All within a 30-60 minute drive. Highly recommend.

Quiet, Off-the-Grid, Beautiful Views

Thanks to Debbie for a lovely stay at her cottage. We were grateful for her prompt communication and clean & inviting cottage. As noted, this place does not have wi-fi. Additionally, sprint/metro pcs service does not work in Deale island. As such, Debbie may consider putting in a basic landline. But big picture - this was a lovely place, and billed as such at $150 per night. I think a couple more amenities might have made it better - whether that was cable tv [we could not use our mobile hot-spot, as Debbie suggested]; bikes to get around Deale Island; or maybe even a welcome basket. Additionally, be prepared for lots of bugs; while the County sprays weekly, we came home with a lot of bites from black flies at the local beach and by Debbie's house. Despite all this, please know that we had a wonderful time; the cottage is well setup inside, the AC works well, and we were grateful for the stocked kitchen with beer and k-cups and spices (along with plates and dishes and clean towels for the bathroom).
