Well to start off the bathroom sink was dripping and we had to put the trashcan out. The difference between some higher end properties and this one, the maintenance wanted someone present in the room. Where as let’s say the Emily Morgan, just took care of what needed to happen regardless of we were in there or not. The bathroom itself looked like it needed a severe overhaul or was in the middle of one.

Needs an Update

Yikes... broken toilet seat, cracked bathtub, crooked headboard.. to name a few. It was ok for the night, but this hotel really needs updating!

Service dogs are an Additional $10.00 a nite. any dog is $10.00 Does not matter if service dog or not. Needed the room after Best western Dacatur Texas refused my reservation because of my service dog. Econo lodge is NEVER my first choice.

This place is a dive. It is in poor condition and smells like curry powder. There were bugs in the bathroom and the handhold in the shower pulled out of the wall. The room itself smelled like cigarette smoke. Save yourself and stay somewhere else in Decatur.

Holes in the wall around every fixture in the bathroom that were too big for the fixtures, intense mildew smell, over a one inch gap at the door with no weather stripping, 3 inch spider in the bathroom, filthy tub and couch with mystery stains ALL over it. The main hotel sign was smashed out on both sides making it hard to find, and there was not adequate lighting where the truck parking was. The night desk guy was very nice however.

Room right next to construction. Dog poop and cigarette butts ALL OVER just outside room door. No coffee or coffee cups in room although there was a one cup coffee maker. TV remote didn’t work although batteries were good. Could not turn on without finding button under TV. Had to get up to change the volume. Bathtub was dirty. Probably the worst hotel room in 50 years of traveling. The desk person was nice though.

Awful place

Never book here, this place is not good. *Airconditioning is extremely noisy, couldn't keep up with the heat. *Found 4 cockroaches in the room *Furniture is falling apart, drawers collapse and chair is broken *Found smoke detector on the floor, smashed from the ceiling *Bed linnen was clean but worn, holes in it. *Lights are as bright as in an operation room *Faucets are leaking I payed for two nights but left after one night, just too horrible to stay in this place. Staff is friendly, but couldn't care less about complaints

Absolutely disgusting

There was mold in the bathroom. The toilet leaked water from the back. There was toothpaste used in an attempt to cover up holes on the bathroom wall above the towel rack. There was an emergency phone on the bathroom wall that did not work. When housekeeping did the room they did not sweep up the dead crickets that got into our room because the entrance door had a huge gap at the bottom. So I also can assume that the floor was not mopped either. The phone in the main area of the room by the bed also did not work. The mini fridge had not been thawed and cleaned in a while as there was also black coloured mold on some of the shelves and there was so much built up ice from improper cleaning that it took up at least half of the entire mini fridge from back to front. Because of this all the food I had in the fridge had spoiled. There was a hole in the wall by the T.V. that had a piece of toilet paper stuffed into it, I do not know if you could see into the next room as I did not touch the toilet paper to check. I left several days before my scheduled check out date and was very unhappy with my stay. The front desk worked said he had attempted to contact me through hotels.com on the day that I left. His suggestion to make me stay was to switch my room. This room should have not been an option in the first place, it was disgusting and unprofessional. I stayed here with my infant daughter and am never going to be booking at this hotel ever again. Zero stars.
