Boathouse on the Lake

*ON THE WATER. * * Across from the main house where we live ** 4.3 miles to CUYUNA BIKE TRAILS. * 2.2 miles to (2) different golf courses. PENINSULA PRIVACY. Close to HEARTLAND HOCKEY CAMP.* Loons nesting on property. Close to restaurants, shops, but yet private and peaceful. Great swimming lake. Cozy one bedroom boathouse on Hamlet Lake. Inside, a queen bed, bathroom/shower, fireplace, and air conditioning. Free Kayaks available for use on Hamlet Lake. Free wood for bonfires.

The boathouse was built in 1946, and is right on the edge of shore. Our house is by the boathouse, but we give our guests privacy if we are home and are often away on the weekends.

Most guests come to a retreat like setting to relax, and I have available many recreational amenities free to use and explore ( and they do!). 4 private acres, boathouse is directly on the lake. Plus we’re near the Cuyuna bike trails Deerwood access. There is a shower, standard sized toilet, sink vanity. A mini-fridge that does not have a freezer, but I have many smaller appliances such as burner/microwave/fry pan. There is a smaller gas grill outside on the picnic table. We live on a peninsula with one side being a sandier swim area. Wild meadow flowers and an undeveloped shoreline. The peninsula has wildflowers and is completely undeveloped, and a narrow path on the narrow peninsula. My house is on the property, but you will have peace and privacy. Come enjoy quiet lake living!

The perfect little one room cabin for our weekend getaway. Comfortable bed, everything we needed for simple food prep and a relaxing weekend by the lake. Great views and sitting areas outside to enjoy the fresh air. Perfect for a couples getaway.

We stayed at this charming cabin to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect Fall escape to rest, relax, reconnect, and recharge. The cabin contained everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. I highly recommend staying here in mid to late October because the trees were so beautiful. The location of the property is remote and private. It’s a great find!

We loved our stay at this adorable boathouse! It’s a very cute one-room cabin sitting right over the water, which makes it feel extra cozy and special. The owners live right across the driveway, but they were very discreet (we only saw them on the day we arrived for a quick hello). The cabin was spotless, with plenty of fresh linens and towels provided. The lake itself is one of the clearest I’ve ever seen; absolutely beautiful. Kayaks were set out and ready to use, though we ended up fishing on a different lake instead. There are also lots of great restaurant options within about a 15-minute drive, so it’s the perfect mix of peaceful retreat and nearby conveniences.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing lake getaway!

Very cozy cabin with great lake views. We stayed a total of 9 nights, which in hindsight was too long for this cabin. It would be much better suited for short 2-3 night stays. The kitchen is under stocked with utensils and they are quite dated. Half of the track lights over the bed and sink area were burnt out. The cabin was quite dirty upon our arrival, my wife spent over two hours cleaning as soon as we unpacked. Throughout our stay, we had to use the same linens, dish and bath towels. The cabin is right outside the front door of the owners home, and we did feel a bit awkward as if we were intruding at times. The property is under new ownership, and had recently transitioned just before our stay. So I understand there is a learning curve for the new owners. The new owners are a very nice young couple, who were very pleasant to engage with. I just feel they need to make some small changes to really improve the experience. Lastly, the fishing was quite good! I caught numerous Bass and small Northern Pike, but u have to put in real effort. The lake is full of nice Sunfish and I did catch a few Crappies. Had two nice fish fry’s!!
