Beautiful Retreat
This is a very special spot for a coastal adventure. Quiet and private with an amazing large outdoor patio which even has an ocean view from one corner. Birds singing, and no traffic noise. Would love to return.

We loved it. Very convenient to Surf Park for soccer/ultimate frisbee events. Very nicely appointed— good A/c, appliances, shower, TV etc. We didn’t use laundry but nice to have. Would have been nice to have extra set of towels as they didn’t dry out overnight and we needed to use the same ones for 4 days. But that’s a small thing. Will stay again!

Perfect Stay On The Reserve
My wife and I stayed in the guest studio while visiting Del Mar for a week. The location was perfect for everything outdoors! Bird Rock Coffee, Roberto’s and a few other bar/restaurants are all in close walking distance, but the major bonus was having Torrey Pines just a short walk away. We took full advantage of the quiet, and peaceful outdoor space that made us feel miles away from the bustle, all while remaining conveniently located near the freeway to explore all that San Diego has to offer!

A Perfect Place for a Vacation
Adam Gevanthor was a great host. Adam was available if we needed anything. The studio is adorable and just perfect for us. It is well furnished and tastefully decorated. It also includes bedding, bath and kitchen towels, kitchen and bathroom supplies and cookware and a washer and dryer in the garage. Most convenient. It is a great location. We walked to the beach (Torrey Pines State Beach and Del Mar South Beach). Adam told us about a loop to walk in his neighborhood (check out the architecture), which we walked several times and the last time, we watched the sunset. It was beautiful. The studio location was a five-minute drive to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, which we visited three times. Our favorite hike was the Guy Fleming Trail. The views are breathtaking. We also hiked the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Extension (MAR Scenic Trail and overlook). It was an enjoyable hike. We took public transportation to Petco Park to watch the Padres. We visited Birch Aquarium, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo and the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad. We also visited San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas (which Adam recommended to us). A twenty minute or less drive to each of these places. We ate at Oggi's, Jake's, The Grill at Torrey Pines and Handel's Ice Cream. We so enjoyed our conversations with Adam and also pet his dog Slate (a beautiful husky). We spent two weeks at the studio in July 2023 and had the best vacation. Thank you Adam and Slate!

Very comfortable, small, well located property
The location is very convenient. We are walkers and from this property were able to walk to the beach, along the beach to Del Mar and then back to the property on along Hwy 101. It was also a very short drive to the Torrey Pines Reserve. From the parking lot we walked/hiked up the hill, experienced most of the trails and beautiful views. From there we walked the trails down to the beach and then back to the parking lot. The unit itself is very small, but for the two of us it was fine. The king bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is a little sparse, but functional. The dedicated upstairs patio was a bonus.

Perfect for a romantic getaway
Just enough space for two! Kitchenette had all you needed for small meals and beverages. We opted to cook breakfast and make our own coffee, all other meals were out (Jake’s in Del Mar was fantastic). The neighborhood is very cool and it was fun just driving around checking out all the interesting architecture. It’s a very quiet area. Location was really convenient, close to freeway to get to other areas. You can walk to a few restaurants, coffee shop and a liquor/convenience store. Parking was easy. Host Adam was very responsive but didn’t need to contact much as the property was well appointed. We absolutely plan to return.

Lovely Little Hideaway!
We spent 10 nights in this lovely studio while babysitting our grandchildren nearby. Great location! The studio is perfect for a couple. It's a separate structure from the house, so we didn't worry about having the TV too loud or listening to people in the main house. The studio is bright and clean. Good sized bathroom, comfy king bed, relaxing living room/kitchen. The outside gardens and rooftop patio are such an added bonus. Adam has thought of everything and he is a gracious and accommodating host. We will definitely stay again and recommend it to the other set of grandparents! Thanks, Adam, for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Studio!
The entryway into this property is like an oasis. Birds chirping and a beautiful garden. The studio was clean and had all the basic amenities. If we needed anything, Adam was nearby and ready to help! Will definitely return :)

A quiet piece of paradise

We enjoyed a wonderful week here. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Easy access to shopping and beaches. Very well equipped with everything you need. And the rooftop deck and fire pit were very relaxing and peaceful. And the sunsets were amazing. Adam is a very friendly and thoughtful host. Bought us a nice bottle of Olive oil from Baker & Olive. The studio was a perfect size and well laid out. We had exclusive use of a rooftop patio that had fantastic views of the ocean sunset. A fire pit extended our evenings up there. So much to do and in the area and hiking nearby is the best. Great location!

Fabulous in every way!

Great outdoor spaces with views
This studio is in a great location - close to the beach and Torrey Pines Reserve. There are many good restaurants in Del Mar a short distance away. Views over lagoon from the spacious and well furnished private upper decks. The studio is comfortably furnished and stylishly decorated with colourful modern art. The kitchen is well set up for two people. Adam our host was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay in this studio again on our next visit to San Diego.

Terrific!
The studio location is perfect, convenient to go everywhere. We can quickly stroll down to the beach in around 20 minutes to enjoy the sunset. We were also amazed by how thoughtfully the studio was designed, it was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed it a lot and appreciated the spacious balcony for the lovely views and openness. Highly recommended!

Perfect in every way!
This studio is fabulous! Small, but well appointed and has everything you need. The bed is comfy, great bedding and the fluffiest towels ever! You have all of the conveniences of home, so much more than a hotel stay. And that's just inside. The deck is AMAZING!! Both marsh and ocean views, lovely breeze, umbrella to shade you from the sun, fire bowl, grill, absolutely everything you could want! We stayed while visiting family and will absolutely book again when we return. Adam was a great host, quick with communication and friendly and inviting. We came in on a late flight and he even gave us some waters and coffee to get us through until we could get to the store the next day. So accommodating! And Slate - he's the best!

Amazing Location
This was a great place for our SD vacation! The place is very well thought out and has many great amenities. We found Adam’s guide very useful in helping my spouse and I narrow down what we would like to do around town. Having traveled clear from the east coast, the washer/dryer and use of the beach gear was very helpful. Much less to pack! We finally got to enjoy the stars and roof top fire pit on our last day and found it peaceful and relaxing, The place was very clean. Can’t beat the location for convenience to everything!

Perfect studio!
This was the perfect studio for our stay. The studio was spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was perfect for the few days we were staying. Located near Carmel Valley Rd, it was an easy walk to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters coffee and pastries and Torrey Pines beach. Adam was great to work with and was easy to keep in touch. I wish we had more time to try out the grill and upstairs patio. I’m sure we will make that happen the next time.

Adam was easy to communicate with both before and during our stay at this sweet spot! He made great suggestions for local hiking and dining. A wonderful stay!
Our living quarters made the most of the space available, allowing for simply-prepared meals and a lounging area. The upstairs deck with grill and firepit overlooking Torrey Pines Reserve served up awesome views and sunsets for us to savor.

Relax, this is the life
This is a sweet little studio in a gorgeous neighborhood. You can walk to the beach for sunsets or drive 5 minutes and spend the day at the beach. Lots of other hikes nearby too. Location, location, location.

This is a fabulous property.
This is a fabulous property. Adam, the owner, was on-site and made us feel so welcome. The apartment was great. It was clean, modern, and had everything we needed during our stay. Fantastic 2-Tier Elevated Deck!!
Great studio apt. walking distance to restaurants and beach! A short drive to downtown Del Mar! Quick freeway access to all San Diego attractions. Adam is a friendly onsight host. You will not feel abandoned. Prior to this booking, another company host cancelled on me and I am still waiting for $! Pick VRBO and Adam for a hassle free vacay!!

This place is great. Quiet studio separate from the main house with kitchen and bathroom. Wonderful private rooftop deck with fire pit, covered and uncovered seating, grill and a great view of the Los Penasquitos Waterfowl Refuge. Walking distance to the beach and dinning. Close drives to great coastal communities with shopping and dinning. Downtown San Diego just a half hour away. The hosts our great, there if you need them, but not in your business if you don't. This place is great for longer stays, we were there for a week and could have stayed longer. It felt like home, but better. I personally did a lot of road cycling while I was there, the Torrey Pines area is a great area to ride and hike. Came home feeling recharged and refreshed.
