Quiet & cozy ocean-side hideaway. Pet friendly!

"This was exactly what we were looking for and we are so grateful to have spent 10 days at this property! Such a magical place. It really felt like an escape. You are fully immersed with the landscape. All the big windows and property allow you to truly enjoy the outside. Large deck, fire pit, hammock! The location and settling can't be matched. Watch the tide come in and out, enjoy the birds and the spectacular beauty of Maine.It was wonderful to take the kayak out (we even kayaked to Hungry Island and hiked which was amazing!) The trail right behind the house was also a pleasure! Completely blazed, it was richly wooded and peaceful. With the house being in Waldoboro it made for a good jumping off point to explore other areas as well. We easily traveled to the Coastal Botanical Gardens, Camden, Belfast, Boothbay etc. We were also happy to be able to travel with our dog and the house had what we needed to make simple meals and get some rest. The wood stove was wonderful. Simple to operate and very efficient. Morgan was a great host! We had a storm come in and they made sure to check in with us to let us know they were watching the storm for us so that they could help prepare us for any impact. We would love to come back. It was such a gem of a property. Thank you for sharing it with us!"

"Loved the view. Location is great so we could do lots of day trips. There were many travel brochures, maps, guide books, and books to read for leisure time. Many places to go eat shellfish. Kitchen supplied well. Floors are a bit wonky on one side of cottage so had to go slow in kitchen and bedroom but expected as it was in rental description. The grill is charcoal so take your own. It’s rustic so don’t expect a modern hotel experience."

"We enjoy the home we stay in at Freindship, ME as it fits our families needs well and is located in a great place. The only complaint I would have is the house was not very clean when we got there, the floors did not seem to be vacuumed well and if you do not like steps this is not the house for you. Also, there is no smart TV, you can stream with Roko but that's it. But it was nice to go without a TV for the week for us."
