Great place to stay if you don't mind the chaos outside. The room was clean but you can notice the sheeds and pillos have seen some use. There is cooling air conditioner but no heater. The bathroom can get a little messy after a shower since the water can run easily to the rest of the bathroom. May get a little noisy if your room is facing the streets. Food was great, we had omelets as breakfast. As a tourist from a different country I felt a little uncomfortable walking outside sine most people is either looking at you or trying to offering you a ride somewhere. Not a lot to see from the rooftop but the area itself is great.

Helpful staff; Not very clean room
I had a very nice experience at Zostel Kathmandu several years ago and thus i decided to stay in Zostel Delhi. Somewhat disappointed. I stayed in a private room. The room is not clean though. I saw some insects and cockroaches. But the staff was all super friendly, helpful and nice.

The baggage storage area is shared with what appeared to be the food preparation area. Happened to see food all over the place when I picked up my bag. Not very clean in general so I’d think twice about ordering any food from the hostel. Plenty of food options in the area though. Overall a good option with friendly staff that is close to NDLS railway station.

There common area where we seat and work, that area is under maintenance, it’s property responsibility to arrange alternate if they have. But they are charging extra money to use a 1 room which is not in maintenance. And charging like 200₹ per head for 2-3hrs. There lift was not working. Day shift staff from reception didn’t found helpful. There dormitory is very very conjugated, and bathroom is like very uncomfortable. No ventilation.

10 min walk to New Delhi Railway and 15 min walk to Metro station. Private room was nice, tv worked and had many english channels. Breakfast was about $4. Air conditioner was really loud and I couldn't sleep with it on at night.

I will not go there again...
The location is kinda bad, probably one of the worst areas of Delhi - dirty and full of scammers. Do not trust the local rickshaw drivers for tours around and such, You will pay overcharged fares for almost anything since he will get his share. The hostel seems a light in the dark compared to the surroundings, nice Place to stay with some entertainments (pool table, soccer table, cards, board games...), kinda clean and comfortable. Just be careful leaving your belongings in the room, I've left 8 packets of cigarettes inside my locked double private room and I haven't found them anymore... The staff is not trustworthy

The room they provided us was the worst room I can imagine off .The room wasn't clean at all and tiles were so sticky i don't wanted to touch it .I think They always leave the worst room for people booking rooms online .I don't think the room was worth 1600Rs .I won't even pay 300Rs for such types of rooms and The Ac wasn't working at all .I hope Expedia take some action against these hotels who always play tricks with customers doing pre booking because now they can't deny the room. Even if the rooms look like lock ups of police station .

Seems they can’t do paperwork. When I checked in we argued for over an hour about whether I’d paid or not. In the end I had to call hotels.com to confirm that I’d paid and then the receptionist spent another 30 minutes ON MY PHONE arguing with hotels.com because the price was too low and where’s their money? It all began to happen when I checked out too, they started arguing with me that I hadn’t paid for the room. I had places to be and tickets booked so to end the argument I picked up my cases and left.

At first sight, Roshan the reception staff was fabulous and very friendly and very casual approach,i understand they want us to feel like we enter in the hostel, but as i was not happy with the room and asked to change after a day and she promised to change but next day she ignored me at all and did not make her promise fulfill. As i stayed for 3 nights and booked 2 nights more for my friend still they gave me very dirty room with dirty bathroom. It was my biggest mistake i booked this hotel online, and they charged me double for the given room and cheated me. Thank you.

It is in a crowded. but conveniently located
Room was not cleaned. Complaint about the flush made in the morning at 0800 hours was not looked into AT ALL. No bucket to throw additional water into the flush. When asked about it at 1100 PM, front office says - We can change your room. GREAT Had a vegetarian "buffet" dinner - no receipt was issued for payment made

For a hostel it is good. Private / Twin rooms have decent beds, but no outdoor windows, only windows to a hallway. Wifi actually works good which was a surprise. Free clean water for drinking was a bonus. Location is also great. Washing machines on the roof top and drying racks !!! People who stay at this place are young and smoke on the lobby and make a bit noise so that could be a bonus for elderly people, however we did not mind. Biggest minus was that we stayed on the ground floor rooms on the last night and the hotel workers started playing loud bass dance music at 6am! So it was impossible to sleep. I can not understand really what they are thinking. Also the train noises come to the rooms so I recommend buying earplugs from the next door shop so you can sleep peacefully. They also tried to charge me when I was checking out though I paid thru hotels.com. I think this was a mistake thought.

Zostel provides a good stay and is located comfortably close to the New Delhi station. The only issue is the metro is not walking distance.

Best decision in Delhi.
From the moment I showed up (a day late on account of visa complications in Istanbul), until the early morning wake up at 4:00 am on my way out, the staff was absolutely amazing. My room was amply large and well appointed. Fresh linens, personal restroom, refrigerator, wifi, television all in room. Super close to transportation (metro, taxis, rickshaw, tuk-tuks, New Delhi Railway Staion). Great space to meet other travelers (on the rooftop, in the common lobby, or in the basement common for breakfast and events) and locals. Front desk can help you with all of your travel in India woes and are more than happy to do so.

Was good base for exploring Delhi. Breakfast basic but can fill yourself up. Staff very helpful. The wifi is woeful but there are a few computers in the lounge. Room was good, AC was lovely in the rooms.

The staff at Zostel was extremely helpful and polite. Whatever you needed or wanted they were able to assist with. Wifi was spotty on most evenings but the issues were resolved quickly. The area is loud and bustling for most of the day. Great location to experience the chaos of one of Delhi's hotel and food areas. If you are looking for something more chillax I recommend you looking for another location. Great place to meet and interact with other travelers.

Value for money
Value Romney as only paid £8 per night, however room was dingy, no windows to open, loud street noises. Bed linen with holes, grey towels, very dirty bathroom even for India standards. Nice views from roof terrace, horrible neighbourhood, you get hassled all the time, only peaceful during very early morning after 9 pm at night. Hostel staff very helpful, great for meeting fellow travellers. Would I ever stay again? Definitely no unless improved highly on cleanliness.

Got a free upgrade because they overbooked. Room was huge and mi check more than I exoected. Neighborhood isn't great but the hostel was nice. Spend the extra couple bucks on a private as the public showers aren't very nice

Excellent experience and the best value for the money I paid. The staff was great and helpful in every respect. By far, they had the best breakfast buffet in delhi hotels I have stayed. The location is a huge plus. Thumbs up for everything
