Top Delta County Historical Society Hotel Reviews
Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Montrose - Black Canyon Area
8/10 Good
"We have been staying at this location for the last 18 years, and it recently changed hands. They have done some nice upgrades but it's a work in progress. The lower scores in some areas were offset by the reasonable cost....and the fact that the A/C was great on a very hot night!"
Quality Inn Delta Gateway to Rocky Mountains

"Breakfast was great!"
Stay Wise Inn Cedaredge
10/10 Excellent
"We were in town for a wedding and the staff was AMAZING!! They were helpful, happy and truly made you feel at home. The breakfast was wonderful, they had all the regular hotel breakfast items and a special treat was the cook that made your eggs to order, even an omelet, YUMMY! Will stay here again!!"
Days Inn by Wyndham Delta CO
8/10 Good
"The room was terrific, and the lady at the desk was very nice. The property is really rundown and it is too bad, because it has the potential to be a real nice place. The swimming pool was closed, the roof was in total disrepair. And they had no Wi-Fi. That is unheard of in this day and time. And the breakfast is a joke. The owners need to invest in the property again and it would be a very, very nice place."
Red Arrow Inn & Suites, a Travelodge by Wyndham
8/10 Good
"The first room the clerk assigned us had A/c that would not come on and the toilet seat was laying on the floor in the bathroom. He assigned us another room quickly and everything functioned t in the new room."
Serene farmhouse with AC in charming Olathe

"Was a great place for our family to stay"
Maison de Terre
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at the beautifully stuccoed adobe building that was artfullly decorated in a rustic, rural setting in Cedaredge. Our accommodations were so comfortable and the gourmet breakfast we were served the next morning was outstandingly delicious!! Marty and Terrie were so easy to work with and very enjoyable to visit with. We will definitely stay there again when we visit the Grand Mesa again."

"World class trout fishing is literally right out the back door. Great location. Close to black canyon and grand mesa."
Hot Tub & Screened Porch: Getaway in Montrose!
8/10 Good
"Nice property, lots of room, well stocked. Nice views of the sunrise & sunset. Screened in porch is great for coffee, dinner, or relaxing. Most of our days were spent in/around Ouray (50 min) so we were away from the property from at least 9-5 daily. During our stay Montrose experienced temps of 97-100 ( 10 from normal), when we arrived for check in at 4:00 the house was hot, but cooled off nicely as the sun went down. Mornings in the house were almost cool. It could be a problem to stay cool in the house if you planned to hang out there during the warmest parts of the day. Overall cleanliness was not an issue. However, there were socks left under all 3 beds in the house. Understand how you might miss one, but for socks to be left under all 3 beds points to a cleaning crew problem in my opinion and it’s just a matter of time before they miss something important. Although, we didn’t experience any major cleanliness issues. The kitchen & bathrooms are well stocked, the exception being the refrigerator. We have stayed at a wide variety of VRBOs & AirBnBs, sometimes the refrigerators have some minor supplies & other times not. This one had nothing but that’s not unusual. The property overall is nice, but it is time for an update. The hot tub stays hot but some of the jets didn’t appear to work. Gas grill has utensils but again, you may need to use the supplied lighter because the push button starter doesn’t work. Minor things that are starting to add up & need addressed."
