"While there was nothing wrong with the stay nor the room, I am rating 4 Stars only since the property appeared like it needed a little work. Overall, the room and property were clean and everything worked as expected in the bathroom, etc. The bed, pillows, and sheets were clean - however the bed was not very comfortable overall. But, it is rated as a 2 Star motel and the price was reasonable. Also I am a 50+ year old so the bed is probably fine for a younger adult. Overall, a good place to stay at a good location for a good price."

"The Funky Flat was the PERFECT stay for us! We were in town for my daughter’s college graduation and it was my husband and I along with my teenage son. The property is just as pictured and described. It’s very well appointed, very clean, comfortable beds, and the location is literally steps from the square. We walked to the Yellow Dog bar just a short walk to enjoy evening cocktails and great entertainment! D20 across the square on Oak was an awesome place to go in and play board games - they have a TON to choose from! Melinda, our host, was so attentive and the entire stay went off without a hitch. Followed the instructions for parking and no issues whatsoever. The stairs at the entrance are steep, so just consider that if you have anyone in your party that might have an issue. I highly recommend this property and will book again if I’m visiting Denton! "

"We loved the whole experience!! We were there for a weekend getaway and enjoyed all that it included: The Hickory St Lodge @ the Square, the restaurants, shopping and the nightlife!"
