Welcome to my unique property! It’s this single-family home has a thoughtful layout that allows two affordable guest spaces. Whether you’re here for business, relaxation, or a bit of both, you'll have all the privacy you need. The only shared space is public street parking, so please keep that in mind when you arrive.
While the home is quiet and peaceful, just like any hotel, you might hear the usual sounds of daily life—like voices or footsteps from neighboring spaces. If you experience any disturbance, feel free to reach out. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease during your stay.
The home is equipped with a traditional heating and cooling system and a smart thermostat for added convenience. You can adjust the temperature from your phone if needed. The temperature is usually kept between 68-72°F, but if you'd like a little extra warmth or a breeze, each unit also has stationary fans and space heaters for your comfort.

Good place with a good location
The unit is very nice and well furnished. The location was perfect for our needs and street parking worked well. The owner was responsive, though we specifically looked for a place with a washer/dryer, and only after we booked were we informed it wasn't working. We were assured that "maintenance was on it", so we extended our stay. The owner also offered to pay for our laundromat costs. After 11 days, the washer was never fixed. That was a bummer, for such a long stay. We were also unhappy with the level of noise upstairs, including what sounded like a party till 2 a.m. one weeknight.
Great property in Denver. Out of the way but still close to downtown and much of what the city has to offer. The beds are comfy and the kitchenette has plenty to be able to cook simple meals. It's a basement unit and the floors are a little thin, but that's to be expected at a lot of basement properties. The host was also very responsive and communicative when I had questions.

Extended stay
We extended our stay here because of the great location and the cute place, but were frustrated when the owner assured us the washer was going to be fixed, and it never was. This was one of our filters, given we needed to stay a while, and we were only informed that it didn't work after we booked. The washer was not fixed over 11 days. The owner offered to pay for laundromat costs, but that's not nearly as convenient. There was also a loud party one night in the unit above. I'd add that the automated messages, written in a friendly style, were excessive. You can't get your check-in information - even the address - till check-in time has passed, which is weird. There's also a strange external process that is required with a bunch of documentary requirements that were above and beyond what VRBO requires. That, plus the auto-messages about the "family-run business", made it feel unwelcoming. I've stayed in a lot of airb's and now VRBOs and never had to go to an external site and enter a bunch of info like that. And the one thing we made clear from the date of booking, that we really wanted the washer, was never addressed.
Nice location, cute place. Good communication. Only draw back was you can hear a pin drop from the upstairs house. The other party upstairs was not very loud at all but you still heard them walking around.
Upstairs guests were a little noisy after 11pm. I think that the place is still a work in progress, walls needed the repairs to be completed and the one lounge chair was missing a leg so it was unusable but bed were comfortable.

First night there was a party of 20 somethings in the upper unit. You could hear every word the people upstairs said and did. Chairs moving, dishes banging, ball bouncing, foot steps and laughing sooo loud. All.night.long. We asked to be refunded for the second night but was refused. Also the password on the thermostat wasn’t right and it was freezing cold

Colorado stay
Jeff was pleasant and communicated well, the VRBO had the necessities.We were excited about our trip to Colorado, especially after a long drive from out of state. As a nurse working 12-hour shifts, I was looking forward to some much-needed rest. Noise DisturbancesThe noise from the upstairs tenants was disruptive. They returned around 2 a.m., and the sounds were so loud that it felt as though they were in the same room. This made it extremely difficult to sleep, especially after a long and tiring weekCleanliness IssuesUpon arrival, the unit had an unpleasant odor reminiscent of dirty mop water. The walls appeared unclean, and the floors hadn't been properly swept. To our dismay, the bedsheets were also dirty, which was particularly concerning.We had high hopes for a restful getaway, but the combination of cleanliness issues and noise disturbances made it challenging to relax. It's disheartening when accommodations don't meet the standards promised, especially when traveling from afar and needing rest.

Buyer Be Aware - Basement Unit with upstairs tenants.
I’ll start of by saying the property was clean, matched the provided photos and would have worked well, aside from the lengthy list of issues we faced during our stay.
That being said, the owner of the property double booked the basement unit as well as the upstairs unit with separate booking agencies.
Being that this unit is in the basement of a two-story home, every footstep, chair scooted across the floor, toilet flush and shower can be heard in the basement unit. Even under what I would consider normal activity upstairs, the noise in the basement unit is LOUD and difficult to comfortably relax in.
This coupled with the AC unit running constantly, (controller is in the upstairs unit) in turn freezing the lower unit out to the point of opening all the basement windows in an attempt to create a comfortable atmosphere to work, relax and sleep in. To the owner’s credit, he attempted unsuccessfully to control the AC thermostat remotely via Bluetooth; the upstairs tenants continued to manipulate the temperature to their liking again creating a cold, uncomfortable environment for the tenants in the lower unit.
On a Thursday evening, approximately Halfway through our stay, a group of young men arrived for their stay in the upstairs unit. When I approached the group regarding the AC settings and posted quiet hours (10pm to 8am), they replied they were here to party and were going to “try” and keep the noise level down.
When my wife and I returned from dinner later that evening at approximately 9:45pm, the Party upstairs was in full throw with no signs of winding down. The upstairs tenant even approached me while we were packing up to leave and asked us to come and join the party...
We discussed with the owner the best path forward, the owner stated on the VRBO app “I’m open to whatever makes everybody happy and I will be reasonable” The owner even had the gall to request “a 5 star review so it wouldn’t effect his small business” after we vacated.
Ultimately the owner only partially refunded the portion of the stay that was canceled and showed little to no concern for the added expense that was in turn created for my Small Business.
I would highly recommend STAYING FAR AWAY from this unit unless your seeking late night parties and “meat locker” type conditions.
