Quiet get away
He had a lovely stay, we had beautiful views and ample space. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to go to another property the owner had to see the eclipse, since this home was at 99% totality. Joann when above and beyond and we have already discussed coming back. We couldn't see house numbers on the home and it took us a minute to find the rental.

Amazing stay at a gorgeous property!
This was our second stay on Martin Ridge and it was perfect! The home was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The hosts are helpful and kind. And the view is just heavenly. This was a wonderful place stay and we highly recommend it!

Men’s Group Retreat
The location and atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Seven men came together for our annual retreat. The space is beautiful and spiritual. We ate, drank, walked and sat by the fire. The view of the forest and river make this a unique and special place. We hope to come back again,

Guys trip
We had a great time fishing and hiking the area. The locals were all friendly and you could watch the moon rise over the Ohio River from the backyard. The owner was very helpful and the property had everything we needed to have a relaxing trip. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful view
The rental was great. Plenty of space for our family reunion dinner. We enjoyed the Ohio river view, and we had one evening at the fire pit for a marshmallow roast. The pool was closed (seasonal). A few tried the fishing pond out, and some of us walked around the property. Check in was great and the host always responded quickly. Everyone loved it.

Most Relaxing Get Away
First off, one cannot say enough about the views. Gorgeous. The home itself had excellent views from many rooms. Watching the barges on the river and the cows in the field was wonderful. Everyone in our group had a bed and we made two bathrooms work. The home was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The host was communicative from the very beginning. We all (a group of college friends) said we would be happy to stay there again sometime.

Perfect for Holiday World!
If we were any closer to Holiday World, we would have been in the parking lot! This location is excellent. While we walked over sometimes, it was also easy for a driver to take a group over and drop them off at the front. The kitchen had all we needed, including choices of coffee makers. My husband and I took our children and grandchildren, and there was a total of 12. We loved the big table and the big living room. While we opted not to sleep on the pull out bed, we put the Ottoman together with the sectional, and had a wonderful queen bed. Everything was very clean, and having 2 washers and 2 dryers (free) in the little building right next door was perfect. Thanks again for your beautiful place and I think we will be renting again!

This is our 2nd time staying here. The first was exactly 2 years ago. We LOVE the home, the pool, pond and the owners & the location!! I will recommend this to everyone!! The little Derby general store and the gas station was perfect along with the family dinning bar/restaurant! We could ride our rangers everywhere and it’s only about 40 minutes to Holiday World which we did spend a day at. THANK YOU so much for allowing us to spend another week at your property!!

A breath of fresh air
This stay was the breath of fresh air my family needed. We gave the kids a good old fashion summer vacation with fishing, swimming, flying kites, cooking smores over an open bon fire, hiking, creeking, and exploring/appreciating the outdoors. We loved seeing the cows and taking walks along the roads where beautiful flowers bloomed! Check in was easy and the hosts were wonderful. The house was enormous with plenty of sleeping options and all the amenities that we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy. We hope to come back with an even bigger group to share the experience with next time!

Wonderful trip
I highly recommend this property in Derby, Indiana, for a family getaway. The combination of stunning river views, the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and the ability to fly kites make it an excellent choice. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the farmhouse is impressive, and you can feel confident that your family will have a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful home. A place to really get away. All amenities were as stated, with a full kitchen and comfortable bedding. The fire pit at night was awesome. Get out there, start the fire, witness the sunset over a miles long view of the Ohio River and wait for the stars to reveal themselves. We saw the International Space Station cross the sky while watching. Just spectacular. Our host visited to check on us and was wonderful to work with. We will visit again.

We rented the house for our annual Get-A-Way. We are a group of 4 couples that meet every year to get away from it all and just visit. This place was perfect. We had excursions during the day and cooked out and enjoyed conversation around the fire at night. It was clean, stocked and just as advertised. If you book this home take the time to visit the Overlook in Leavenworth for a meal and also the Blue Heron Winery in Cannelton. You won't be disappointed.

Martin Ridge was perfect setting for relaxation plus!
This piece of heaven was perfect for our annual get together with 2 other couples that are lifelong friends. The view is astounding - plenty of yard and walking opportunities. The house is laid out well for group gathering with plenty of privacy as well. We spent a ton of time at the firepit and patio out back and left very relaxed and thrilled that we found this location. Plan to keep it in our rotation of places we will return to.

As always, EXCELLENT!
This is the 3rd time (in July) we’ve stayed at this beautiful property in the middle of a working farm on the Ohio River. Once again, we brought our six grandchildren to celebrate our fifth annual Camp G&G. The house is perfect, the swimming pool is beyond anything you normally see at a personal residence, and the views are spectacular. We are always thrilled when the owner, Joann, stops by to welcome us. She is pleasant and available, but she is not overbearing or bothersome. If we lived here, we would have our groceries delivered, and never leave! (Although I doubt any store would deliver; we preordered groceries and picked them up at Walmart in Corydon, about 50 minutes from Derby.) Joann, Thanks for another great visit!

We had a group of 22 who stayed at this house. It was a beautiful, relaxing trip. The property is walkable, the pool and pond were such nice amenities to have nearby. Our family had a wonderful weekend! The house has a lot of room for everyone to spread out. The 2 queens beds beds in each room made sure all 11 of us had a place to sleep! The pool and fishing pond down the road kept the little ones occupied. House was clean and fully stocked with all your kitchen needs - including paper plates, plastic wrap and zip lock bags. We will definitely be returning next year!

Perfect weekend getaway
We are a group of 10, 5 siblings and their spouses. We try to get away for a weekend every year, to play cards, games and enjoy each other's company. This property was perfect! The host was excellent and if we needed anything they were right there to help. I would definitely recommend this place if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. If you want peace and quiet, a pool, stocked pond, and tons of room this is the best rental! We had 14 people stay at the house to celebrate my parent's 50th Anniversary. We went to Holiday World for a day. It was 45 minutes away. We also hired a professional photographer to do pictures on site and she was fantastic!

There is not much I can add to my July 2020 review as we’ve just finished our second “Camp G & G” here with our six grandchildren. It was a glorious 9 days! The parents of the “campers” joined us the last five days. -The pool is wonderful and we, once again, experienced a fun night swim near the end…the kids loved it. -Other than buying takeout pizza once, we cooked all meals here. -Our daughter was able to hookup her DisneyPlus account to the TV and the kids watched 3 movies. -As last year, we brought our UTV (similar to a John Deer Gator) and explored the many trails around the farm. -I’ve already booked Camp G&G for July 2022! THANKS to our remarkable host, Joann!!! The McCoys from Clark County Indiana
