"A lovely short stay at Casa do Tua. The hotel was very comfortable, great views and the pool especially nice. Good breakfast, easy parking with 2 bar/restaurants nearby plus the station over the road. "

"The pictures on Expedia and their website do not do justice to this place. It is a very impressive working winery and the rooms are well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent though service was mixed when it was busy. My only complaint is that the ‘smoking area’ for diners is close to the outdoor terrace and with the prevailing wind it meant that you could smell and taste the cigaretttes at that end of the terrace - not pleasant when you are not used to it. I heard a number of diners complain about it. (Please move the smoking area, as it would make a very good experience perfect!) I would also recommend the walks around the vineyards that are described in the information booklet - though the red route is very steep up, the views are worth it."

"Outstanding views and service. The breakfast was superb. The bed was very comfortable. The common areas were wonderful. Wanted to stay longer but they were booked up. Highly recommend this place."

"Beautiful property with great views, excellent staff. Convenient walk to town and at least one or two Quinta's (vineyards). Lovely pool and deck. Outdoor patio bar. Only not: breakfast and dinner menu pricey. But food excellent."

"Oh my goodness. I don’t even know where to start. I had never been to Portugal and didn’t mean to fall in love with it. But I have fallen in love with Portugal and this property and the amazing people in it are the reason why. Most beautiful and most relaxing, welcoming place. I hope everyone reading this review goes and finds out for themselves. Most beautiful hosts, most breathtaking location, most amazing rooms, wine and meals! I hope to get back to Portugal soon and when I do, it will definitely start with a night or few at this property. Thank You for your hospitality! "

"Very nice"

"The hotel facilities seem quite nice, just lack of service staff. However the room we were assigned on the 1st floor does not have Wifi. The young fellow was kind enough to change us to a room on the 3rd floor, which was ok for us although it lacks certain amenities. The worst thing happened was upon the check out. We made the reservation on Orbitz and prepaid the total amount on June 9th (~a month prior). When we check out, the reception lady asks us to pay again. We showed her Orbitz confirmation email and our credit card statement showing the charge but she insists that room was not paid. She doesn’t speak or understand any English and didn’t understand email in English either. Unfortunately no any other staff was around to help. We wasted at least half an hour and were behind our schedule. We travel 4 months each year and this is the first time that we encountered such a nightmare. Either Orbitz messed up or the hotel’s system did. Anyway, I hope this will never happen again! "
