"John Day sits about 80 miles from the nearest city of any size. It has limited overnight choices. The Best Western, while nice, costs the same as the Best Western at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris. This is John Day, folks. Dreamers Lodge, while not the newest or fanciest motel, is very nice, clean, safe, easily located, walking distance to restaurants AND reasonably priced. This is our choice every time. "

"We had a fantastic experience. The cabin was as advertised. It was clean, peaceful, lots of wildlife, and Amanda provided privacy but was very welcoming when our kids asked to play on the swing set. "

"This is a very cute, clean and well appointed apartment. It's very quiet here at all hours. Great location for walking to local restaurants. The only thing to note, there was no internet, however, it didn’t cause us any issues, we were fine without it. "
