"Our room was great, it was good having a kitchenette, washing machine and dryer. Check in and out was quick and easy and staff we friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our walks up and around Mount Maunganui, along the board walk and into town. the thermal pools are definitely worth a visit. Enjoyed 2 beautiful meals one at the Olive and Fig restaurant and the other at Dui’s Thai restaurant….delicious Wished we had more time, will definitely go back."

"Lovely comfy beds, nice furniture in lounge. We didn't use the cooking facilities at all, but plenty of equipment there. Couple of things could be improved - we noticed the coffee cups were very stained - just need a good scrub inside. Also the shower doors in the room we were in need attention - there is a big gap when doors should be closed. The drier has also left a lot of fluff over the ceiling which isn't a good look. Parking was good, though a bit tight for a larger car between two poles. "

"This little studio was so very clean and exceptionally quiet. It’s an easy 20 minute walk on a safe path into Matamata, or turn right and go visit the Firth Tower museum, which was a delightful find for $10. The bed was great and firm and comfortable. The studio had dish-ware and utensils handy, as well as a microwave and fridge for the snacks I bought in town. Great hot water and water pressure, and again, everything was so very clean. Also, if you open the back window you can hear horses in the pasture behind you sighing contentedly. A lovely choice in a lovely place!"
