"A/C didnt work and room was hot at night with lots of mosquitoes. No water pressure in shower - literally a trickle. At breakfast my omelette had eggshell in. They took 30mins to arrange my bill and check out even though I prepaid for the room and only stayed 1 night. They took another 30mins to iron 1 shirt and charged me 3000 ugx for it."

"A surprisingly well equipped and well conceived property in the south-western region of Uganda. It's very quiet, very well-designed and my wife says it is of European quality - which is a compliment! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was very spacious. The facilities including gym are way better than in most Ugandan properties. It is a little overpriced and the food is unremarkable BUT if I had to stay near Mbarara and I could get the rate down by 30% this would definitely be my preferred...

"We arrived late in the night and the staff actually picked calls to give us directions and we find the person we had been talking to waiting for us at the entrance. The check-in was smooth. We had challenges with the water heaters on day one, however, when we reported to the staff, they rectified the issue. They have "Katogo" and "Chapati" as options for breakfast. "My third time staying here. I come to Uganda for a charity - so on a budget. Also staying by myself. I travel out each week day to work and spend evenings and weekends here. I like the Wagga because of the large garden it. You have a feeling of space. It feels safe. It is quiet at night. The WiFi isn't brilliant but OK. The staff take good care of me. But there can be very noisy weddings at weekends. The restaurant is limited and the coffee lousy. There are no leisure facilities like a pool or gym. This time I had to pay cash for my meals/laundry on check out (before I used a card)."
