"After our recent vacation at the Point House, I can honestly say that this was the most well designed and beautiful house we have ever stayed in. The pool is beyond fantastic and a great place to wind down after days filled with sightseeing and flyfishing. The extensive decks are great too with panoramic views of sunsets and sea life along the coral heads. Harrison King, the caretaker, was very congenial and knowledgeable about the history of Cat Island. He brought dinner the first night and we ate for days - EXCELLENT!!! Lots of sights and side activities - beaches, flats, blue holes, wildlife, Healing Pond, restaurants and fun places to get a drink and soak up the sun. I definitely recommend the Point House for families and anyone who wants to enjoy a truly luxury home in a gorgeous setting on Cat Island. We will return!!!"

"The coral heads were with in 50ft of the water line at all three beaches that we had access to on the private drive going to the house. When I went there no one renting for at least a quarter mile to either side.It was amazing "

"Our room was very clean with a lovely view towards the sea. We really enjoyed the Moonshine Bar where the food and drink was spot on and we enjoyed watching the sea and walking on the shore. There are hammocks and a few loungers available also. The main building is comfortable and nicely set out. it was super quiet when we were there which was lovely, the only downside being the bar and food service stopped at 6.30m which is very early. "

"False advertisement on Hotels.com. Pool was not working. Beach was not as pictured due to hurricane. Front desk was very unfriendly. Forced us to eat our dinner in the room instead of dining room and then charged us double for dinner. Bar staff ignored us and charged us double the locals. Locals took over the bar. Nothing was open except the Club Med down the road. We do not see any reason to return to San Salvador."

"DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY. Nothing matches the listing—dirty, trashy yard, broken oven, no advertised BBQ, two broken TVs, broken door locks, dilapidated/unsafe deck, broken deck chairs, rusted utensils, moldy sponges, corroded fixtures, soiled bedsheets and towels, no bright pillows or rugs as shown in the photos, no screens in the windows - they were laying outside on the ground, and a strong odor of cat urine. We found the cat trying to get in the house. I have lots of photos to back up everything I have stated.. It was so shocking the state the house was in. We complained immediately after we picked our jaws up off the floor. The caretaker was confrontational, and the owner promised a refund if we didn't leave a bad review and then ghosted us. Photos are doctored, the house is poorly maintained, and it was a completely disappointing experience. This is our fifth trip to the Bahamas and we have never encountered anything even remotely like this place. VRBO should take the listing down until it is safe to rent and accurate photos are taken"
