"The Himeville Arms is a newly renovated country inn. The Inn itself is decorated nicely and kept up to date, including a pub, several dining areas as well as sitting areas. It is really nice. The cottages are not newly renovated and in acceptable condition. The staff deserves recognition for their willingness to assist you and always attending to customer services. "This place is a small piece of heaven! Great service from all staff right from the very beginning. Before arrival - Comms were timely and accurate and helpful. The meals provided were great (especially the Oxtail stew! 😋) and delivered to your individual lodge. The situation of the lodge is beautiful - wherever you look the scenery transfixes you. "The rooms are okay and they are perfect for the price. However, the host did not tell us we would be sharing the house with other guests abs this caused a startle with those we found in the house already. The gyser was not working and this was on a 9degree Celsius weather where we had to take a night and morning cold shower. "The place was generally in good keep including the room, except behind the curtains. Spiders had spun their webs everywhere resulting in us having to ask the reception desk for spray to kill them, so this was a big no no to housekeeping. Dining area staff seemed absent minded throughout the four days there. Tranquil and refreshing overall although I found myself wishing that I had booked into a mainstream hotel on several occasions."

The Old Orchard

2/10 Terrible

"The pool was filthy. The whole premises is in dire need of upgrading and some love. What was on offer for dinner was questionable. There was a 1-page menu with numerous items that you could not have as they did not have stock. There was no-one else eating there which is usually a dead teller that one should not eat there, which I did not do either. An Executive suite - I THINK NOT. The bed was so hard, I could have actually slept on the floor and not known the difference. The towels need to be thrown away and repalced................ BAD BAD BAD There was no soap or shampoo in my room. When I asked at reception, I was given 2 x soaps and an apology because they did not have any shampoo. Breakfast was supposed to be at 7. The guy in reception only arrives at 8. I paid for breakfast included and the lady in the kitchen could not confirm with him by phone if that was so, or not. So, I ended up not having breakfast that I paid for."
